Hey guys,

Heading to sydney next weekend from thurs 12th of feb, just wanted to know what you guys think are some good club's to head to friday/saturday that get packed (more girls then guys would be good lol)

Was looking for RnB/Hip Hip type of clubs.. I know DJ Moto is around and is DJ'ing in clubs around sydney so if anyone know's where he's at that would be even better..

My cousin told me that saturday nights Dynasty @ Privilege Bar (cnr of king and george st) might be good.. anyone heard of it and can comment?

Thanks

raandb and hip hop is dying up here, sad to see it declining. electro is piscking up now, but unfortunately houuse is still here because all the 18 year olds think its "cool" and "so totally random", god i hate them.

anyway friend of mine tried to revive a place called good bar (boutique) a few weeks ago on oxford street @ darlinghurst, all old skool hip hop and rnb, music was great (but i'm biassed i know the dj lol). I went few fridays ago and it was good, i'll see if he's still running it.

other than that i used to like Docks hotel @ darling harbour. havent been there in 6 or so months so cant vouch for it anymore.

sorry i lie, i remeberd a better one, called Red Room @ hotel chambers. its next to martin place somewhere, elizabeth street rings a bell.

That place goes off, sound system could be better but good overall, good for old skool, hip hop, rnb.... or anything black lol

Thanks for the suggestions.. Dont know about Superclub because we have it here opposite the crown casino and its huge but hardly many people go but dunno if it goes off in sydney..

lol sorry Dave i wouldnt be into ARQ i'll have to give your invite a miss.

I think im more then likely gonna head to Dynasty @ Privilege Bar on Saturday because they have DJ Moto, DJ Tikelz and DJ Peter Gunz who are just fkn pro's so im sure that'll go off.. If not ill have to write down what else u guys suggested and club hop :D

Oh and me and my mate are probably gonna take public transport coz my mum lives in like Gosford, didnt realise there are still train's that go there even at 4-5 in the morning thats awesome unlike here on saturday nights if you dont take the 12.30am train the next one is at like 7am sunday morning =\

sydney is shit for clubbing now. unless you're into house and energy then you wont find a decent enough club.

i remember back in the day when one world used to be open, that was a pretty good rnb/hip hop club. now they just move them around.

ive never been to melbourne.....

but from what ive been told by people from sydney whos been there....

have said the people in general....are ALOT nicer in Melb...

especially the Ethnics there...have a different Mentaility there than the likes of here.

i recall a melboune group of guys came down to a club in sydney.... "Watershed" or watever its called on Darling harbour....

they were all happy at the start.....then at the end of it.....they said "WTF is wrong with the girls here.... FFS!....u talk to them and they just snop ya...u should come down to melb ..people start convos with u just for the sake of being polite...unlike the girls here...if they dont like ya....they think ur an ASSHole for just even saying hello to them"

which is probably true, coz people overseas say the same thing about sydney siders as well... but these things didnt bother us much cause sydney people were used this kinda environment...

so im just letting ya know from what i hear of peoples experiences

yeah give Tank a go on a friday night for rnb superclub, not too bad...its just off george st towards the rocks

but yeah as everyone has said, ull b hard pressed to find good rnb joints in sydney nemore...

I'll second that..

Another couple of notable places on Fridays are Flavours (at Middle Bar) and St James Hotel, but both are tony compared to Tank Nightclub. Good atmosphere though.

(more girls then guys would be good lol)

Thanks

thats never, the case in sydney........

there will be always MORE BROZ, THAN HOEZ!!!!

if your wanting a club that people are friendly, your more likely to find that in a Trance/Rave night club

rather than an Rnb shit hole... coz all that ever happens there is Guys acting tough and being "da shit!", girls being snobby skanks & bouncers wanting to kick you out coz

its getting too crowded or he didnt like the way you looked at him.

That's the problem with RnB/Hip-Hop clubs, and it's been like that since the early 90's (I'm showing my age here). Everyone at an RnB club seems to think they are better than the next person, and the general "friendly" nature is non-existent unless you go with a group of friends and/or go to the same place(s) regularly and establish a group of friends.

Also, regardless of how many DJs play and how good they are, they all seem to play the same songs over and over, and usually to please the masses it's something that's already too commercialised and mainstream for me to want to hear it again in a club atmosphere. There is soooo much quality so called "underground" hip-hop and RnB out there, and I'm sure that the DJs are aware of it, so why not play it?

coz in melbourne they are Greeks, Italians and Maltese......

Look like lebbo's but don't cause as much trouble in the open.... the sydney siders classify the above natios as being the same as lebbo's because they dont know the difference. Coz they are just as hairy and have dark features aswell.... lol

not only do we get pulled over for driving a skyline because it looks like a habib car, now its hard to pick up because they wrecked that aswell lol.

Also having lived in both Sydney and melbourne for years, i warn you that you will be very dissapointed with the clubbing experience compared to melbourne. Prague and europe in general is unbelievable if your serious about clubs.

    • I have done a lot of research before posting here and on gtruk forum. couldn't find anything. I have my gauges all part except the needle itself. the needle has a extremely small hole in the center, but the shaft going to the needle is extremely small and appears to have nothing to index it either. doesn't seem strong enough to simple pry or pull without damaging something. Already tried the old spoon trick on a extra triple meter I have from a gtt, but no luck. the center cap comes off easily but the hole in the meter face plate aren't big enough to get over the needle itself. figured this would be my best place to find someone who might have actually removed theirs. wonder if there is some type of small pin press tool to push the pin in while pulling the needle base off.
    • Ok...its taking me long enough to finally do this.  Feck financial security...heart disease will get me soon enough anyway So welcome to the garage..."Clem" Belsil80 has been running a 370Z in Super TT series. So after entering with him in last years Winton 300 i figured I  need my own car. Seems SAU Vic race cars need to be yellow....{tick} Reckon with enough motor i will be able to make up for the lack of talent and stay ahead of the 370Z... but the LS powered S13 and E36s are a ways up the road Aim is to have a car that doesnt stop or turn but has a bit of shed built motor with jam...maybe some cream  First step is getting this ex drift car log booked I am keeping faithful silver car. As the road-club car gets upgrades the race car wil get the sloppy seconds
    • Assuming that they will come off without damage at all.... i would have thought just pull straight up off the spindle with a something or other than can reach underneath. Have you searched for youtube vids of people doing similar on R34s or any other Nissan from the same vintage? They should be the same technique, in all likelihhood.
    • Keeping in mind that sandblasting is really aggressive on softer metals like cast alloy, and you can do damage that you might regret. For trash wheels, not a problem. For wheels with value/scarcity issues, etc.... perhaps a less aggressive media is a better choice?
