Hey guys well its been 2 yrs now that ive owned this car and decided to add modifications to it. I will list all my mods i currently have, everything is installed except my PFC, because i am bringing my car to Trent @ Status tunning.

Greddy Power Extreme II Exhaust system 3inch with a CATCO 3inch Highflow cat,Greddy Trust Front pipe 3inch,turbdump pipe some cheap brand.

Blitz LM intercooler

Apexi Pod Filter

Turbotech Boost tee adjusted to 10-11psi

Splitfire coil packs with 0.8mm BCP6ES

Walbro fuel pump 255l Gss-342

My stock r33 S2 Turbo highflowed by hypergear with (ATR28 450HP CHAR using Garrett Bearings seals and collars with ATR's 360" multiport thrust) 71mm compressor

and last off all my Apexi Power FC :(

Now my question is! i do not have a z32 AFM, Is it recommended for me to purchase one? and are cam gears benifical? or Injectors? how much cc injectors is recommended.

Thank you.

Geraus Huynh!

You will need the Z32 afm to achieve 240. You may get to 220 but it will be at maximum and you risk AFM cut when that happens.

Cam gears are beneficial in some cases. With the stock camshafts in place, you may get a very small torque increase in the midrange by retarding the exhaust 2 deg but that's about it. You won't need injectors as these will see you through to 260-270rwkw.

Also, gap your plugs out to 1.1mm so you can make a little more power. 0.8mm with splitfires is silly.

I asked this question some time ago and didn't get an answer. The basic thought from the forum was that splitfires are no better than std coils just newer.

I wanted to gap my plugs back out to say 1.0mm [assuming splitfires were better].

The other question I asked [and didn't get an answer here either] was would increasing your gap affect or increase your knock levels? I actually thought it would lower them - a spark that lasts a bit longer and that should be fatter would have a better more complete burn???

And I agree that if you want to make +240rwkw to ditch the Walbro and a Z32 is essential. So except for say $5-600 you are almost there, and in fact I think you may see a bit more than 240, 245 or 250 even.

Yeah I used to run 19psi boost with splitfires on my RB20 making 260rwkw with a gap of 1.1mm. Never had an issue. It's all about supporting hardware.

The bigger the spark, the more power you will make. With less resistance for the coil, it will become lazy.

I did an engine for Oblivion and he just had his car tuned at Pro-Torque. He made 250rwkw with his RB25 on PowerFC and Z32. He does have an 80mm throttlebody and Greddy plenum, Nismo pump and Splitfires though. The rest is standard.

you'll need injectors... pushing 270 rwkw as has been stated out of stock injectors is NOT a good idea unless you are happy to have them running @ 99% every time you put your foot down

You will need:

Z32 AFM

Injectors (S15 440cc would be fine)

You may also need:

HD adjustable actuator (to stabilize boost)

HD clutch

You may want to consider:

Tomei Poncams

suspension and brake pad upgrades

Dam! i just brought the pump! :) and installed it. arghhhhhhhhhhh .. The plugs... Are there any that come pre-gaped @ 1.1? if so whats the model so i can get it. Thanks. I will be geting a z32 ASAP. Thanks for the help guys. I have also purchased a 5 puk button clutch from Slide as well it should arive in a couple of days.

Read the thread title.

And the stock injectors are good for 280rwkw at 100%. Even more if you put on an adjustable regulator.

BCPR7ES11 come gapped @ 1.1 but it pays to check ever one anyway :)

i run bcpr7es @ .8 with splitfire coils and have a reliable 265rwkw all day every day.

i'd probably run @ 220-230rwkw with stock injectors and afm and spend the excess monies on suspension

did i say that they wouldn't do it?

i just said its a dumbass idea...

280rwkw on stock 15 year old injectors... kinda like using a rubber band to hold your handgrenade lever down

I never said it was a good idea to run them at maximum either but they can still do it.

If we are talking 'relevant to the conversation', the topic states he is chasing 220-240rwkw so I suggested he would not need new injectors as there is a 40rwkw head room before they max out.

Also, you'd be surprised how good the 15 year old injectors are. They don't just stuff up with old age, in fact it's quite rare to see those injectors fail.

i had a very simular setup to what you listed.

if you can i highly highly suggest you grab some nismo 555's or sard 550's.

i know on some cool winter days under WOT the stocker 370's were reaching dangerous levels. comes down to the tuner as well i know.

if you dont grab them now, make sure they are on the top of the shoppping list.

and when the power level gets old there will be some safe headroom for the next wizzer..

cheers

Who did that? Seen it reproduced a few times at all Daniel?

Reason I say is 370cc injectors support roughly (I know its not perfect estimate) ~370hp, which is 280kw before you take into account any loss from the drivetrain which would bring it back to say 230rwkw or so at which point ive seen people posting up here about running outta room.

And that’s not taking into account acceleration enrichment or anything else out of them (that’s pure 100% max before enrich)

With a FPR for sure you could see 280rwkw, just not totally sure it they would do that much without a FPR?

370cc injectors are good for ~450 engine hp. ~80hp drivetrain loss in a GTST = ~370hp at the wheels = ~ 276rwkw

So on paper they are good for it. I have had only one customer make near that and it was 272.4rwkw and they were at around 96%.

Accel enrich will not come into play as the injectors are rated at 370cc at 40psi. When you start building boost = making power = needing fuel, the factory regulator is increasing fuel pressure so the 370cc goes up to near 390-400cc when you are making 10psi or so.

If you are going down a hill doing 80km/h and put it in 1st then just suddenly punch it, maybe...and only maybe you'll run into issues with fuel but I think that would be the least of your worries if you were going to do that.

ohh ok cool let me know asap. list me your mods...... good luck bro! ! thanks guys! Yeh i was researching about the pumps and people are getting good gains with them! i got a little bit worried there. Yeh Injectors is a must! i will try and get some for sure! il try and get the Nismo injectors!, thanks all of you guys! appreciate this! im taking your advices so yeh  let me know how much KW's you guys get! .
