haha.. thats right.

that is not the car to be getting ideas off. As a budget drifter maybe.

that car is packing a chinese greddy copy plenum, chinese turbo, chinese manifold, chinese gate and the engine bay is disgusting.

he makes it all work, doesnt mean its a good idea though.

for the average punter its not a bright idea to push 370's anywere near that

That may be true but it is an indication of what can be made from them. And that car was not a 5 minute car either.

currently sporting

-Mines Ecu

-Apexi turnflow front mount intercooler

-Walboro 255L

-3" Trust catback

-HKS EVC 5

-Bee*R high flow panel filter

thats bout the basic of it anyways and got 253rwkw running very lean due to the japanese tune in australia environments (and probs crap fuel too)

will have sard 550's, Blitz fmic, blitz pod filter w/ CAI setp installed before the new tune due before the coming weekend

BTW the calculation I use for injector sizing is (CC of injector / 5) X Number of cylinders = engine hp at max duty.

If you start to increase fuel pressure, the calculation changes slightly.

Hmmm ye true.

What about acceleration enrichment and that kinda thing?

You've got no room if you calc it @ max to begin with. Even a figure of 10% which would perhaps be enough, brings it back to 400hp

I know where you're coming from and it is a valid point but accell enrich only comes into play for a fraction of a second when the throttle is depressed quickly, then it goes back to normal. Seeing as though it's when the engine is at just over maximum torque with a decent rpm and considering that rpm on our cars is usually around at least 5krpm and up, then that accell depression would have to take place at that time and power delivery would have to be instantaneous. In the small fraction of time that the injector needs to deliver that tiny bit more fuel, the engine would still be building boost for a small amount of time, therefore, still getting up into it's peak torque area.

I suppose it could be an issue if you put all things into consideration and they all happened at once. Would be rare for it to be an issue but I don't doubt that it could happen. It's always better to stay on the safe side of these things, no doubt at all. But still, with an easy maximum at 280rwkw, I think 250 or even 260rwkw would be nothing too much to ask out of the standard injectors. Of course it all comes down to having everything else right too. If you have a shit fuel pump it's going to let the whole package down. When you run close to the edge, it's always risky business but if you have all systems in place, it can be just as safe as anything else. I reckon, if in doubt, upgrade. If it's not in your budget, then tune it down til it is.

I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea with what I'm saying, it's always better to be safe then sorry, it's good to know the limitations of ALL your hardware but only go down that road if you are prepared for the consequences. And yeah, if in doubt, ask or upgrade as above.
