Hey all

Due to age i think i shall replace mine

who is running what, what was needed to fit it etc

Series one RS four owner here...

Should i get a Walbro, or a Bosche 044 or 040?

-Ryan

I'm running a Walbro GSS-342, it's a 255LPH/500hp pump and Boostworx fitted it no worries in my series 2. Had it fitted and tuned the same day. The pump cost me $195 delivered from Slide on these forums see here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Wa...albro+fuel+pump. Can't remember cost of fitting but should be around $100 maybe less.

I would recommend getting a workshop to fit it, however the walbro comes with good instructions and all the bits you need (new wiring harness, clamps, fuel line, sock/filter etc. etc.)

I chucked a walbro in mine too. cheap, easy and enough flow for 300kw.

Josh, no noise from the pump it sounds exactly the same as standard.

Only thing to be careful of it you do it yourself - the fuel sender is very sensitive/prone to breaking. Be very careful when you remove and install it, and make sure the float is properly seated against the sender.

how long have you been running the walbro one DaveB? and is it a noisey pump, can you here it running in the cabin?

Been running mine since Christmas 2008. Pump is at least as quiet as stock, can't hear it in the cabin. As the others have said. btw whoever said they can get one for $240 with 'fitting kit'... last time I checked the SAU group buys the GSS-342 from Slide on SAU comes with everything you need to fit it to a stagea for $195 delivered. This is where I got mine.

Btw I'm currently making about ~185rwkw (auto, so over 200rwkw in a manual) on about 14PSI with gcg hi-flow neo turbo and tomei FPR.
