Hi all,

After driving my R33 series 2 for 2 years I sold it last year... and miss it so much now that I have a boring 07 Corolla... lol

I was toying with the idea of checking out some R34 GTTs...

Perhaps if I find the right one, I can trade or sell my Corolla and buy an R34.

What is the current market for them now? I could imagine them going for anywhere from 19-25 grand for a clean one being more expensive.

Ideally Im looking for a turbo tiptronic, silver and with no more than 70,000 KMs (I know most skylines have their clocks wind back).

Any ideas on how much one would cost like this?

Didn't you sell your R33 cuz of petrol prices were going up? LOL!

Well since they are lower now, its a good time to get a R34 GTT.

Speak to David from Carizma International, he is a memeber on here and he's got 2 x R34 GTT's for sale from $16,900 to $21,900.

Yeah I bought a house and wanted an economical car that will last for ages... too bad for me the petrol prices went right down and interest rates fell flat!! I fixed my house loan as well! So now I am bored of the corolla, I had it for 6 months.

The good thing is that imports have dropped heaps in value :)

Ill keep my eye out for a clean r34.

To top it all off my GF bought a Toyota Prius few weeks after I got my Corolla... so we have a very fuel efficient car...

Id love something like this:

Yeah I see... All the best.

Acutaly how good is the Prius on fuel? I was just wondering about the how Hybrid System they have.

As petrol prices sky rocked to like $1.79 at one stage I remember, I thought to myself why are we all not driving Priuses..?

LOL! Ok, they are not the best looking car in the world but...

That R34 looks quite good. I always like that front bar on the R34 GTT's. Is it a Nissan factory option aero bodykit front bar?

1000 KMs on one tank, city driving is easy.

It actually uses around 4 litres per 100 KMs as long as you dont go over 60 KM/h to much IMO.

It uses mostly battery power right up until 45 KM/h.

They do look bland but they can grow on you like most cars.

My GF did the right thing as far as economy goes on petrol. :P

Yeah that R34 front bar is the best with those slits on the side... I love it. I think 2000 + models have it.

The "Shark" front bar is the Factory option kit. Alita or something or other made it. It was available from the 98 release date of the R34. 2000+ series two models got a really really (and I mean REALLY) ugly update front bar, and trust me, it would look better burning!

WTF! 1000KMs in 1 tank! Thats awesome!

I do about 250KMs a week in my R32 and thats about half a tank. If I had that fuel economy I would not have to fill up for like 2 weeks a month. LOL!

So Prius FTW for fuel economy!

Yeah Prius is great on fuel. :D

So I dunno i might just put my corolla on the market and sell it if I get a good price then just drive around in the Prius and keep the cash or wait till I come across a really clean R34... was c onsidering going to SSV in Huntingdale (good car yard) but they usually charge a lot more for their cars. I bought my R33 there in 2006 for 18 K and sold it for 13 K in 2008.

Yeah for sure.

I guessing the longer you wait the cheaper R34 GTT's will get, so you have got the upper hand... Just wait and keep hunting around at the same time saving up the cash and you will score a good one.
