If you’ve always wanted to have a go at drifting on the circuit, but didn’t want to attend a fully blown drift day, then we have a course that will suit you perfectly.

To be conducted at Sandown Raceway on Saturday 7th March 2009, this day is aimed at drivers who want to have a lot of fun and learn plenty about drifting from Australia's best professional drifters including Adam Newton, Luke Fink, and Chris Dejager.

The exercises will be conducted on wet roads to keep the speeds down and minimize wear and tear on your car.

The cost for this course is $195.00 including lunch and refreshments.

Im in for this, the wet will be fun :yes:

Will the pro's be able to come in the car with us for a couple of laps for some tips?

No one has put in a single comment about how the day was?? Strange..

Anyway, me and my mate in the chaser had had a ball! Was a little frustrating having to turn ur car on and off so frequently but was still a load of fun!

How do i contact the girl for the photos?? We left a little early so didnt have the chance to see her at 4pm..

i was thinking dean might have hurled after luke fink gave him the ride of his life... should have seen the SMILE on his face!

had a great day, managed to link turn's 2 and 3 and generally picked up a bit of skill :banana:

dean's car looked and sounded awesome! best sounding screamer pipe i have ever heard!

steve in the chaser was doing some awesome driving! as was dean

i think the highlight for me was everyone in my group scratching around for something to cut a camera's cable ties, to no avail, until an asian guy said, "oh, you wana knife.... here!" and pulled a decent size knife out of his pocket! at a drift day LOL!

with 300rwkw on tap i was having a bit of trouble in the wet tho.... had a much easier time in the dry bits!

all in all a sucessful day with plenty of fun had by all...

haha ur a classic m8! Was good to meet ya & thanks for the compliments above :). Your 33 is also a beautiful looking car.

About the knife thing.. that was by far the funniest thing of the day. No other words. Just the combination of the guy in a leather jacket with a hardcore japanese looking series 6 RX7 to have a knife hanging around in a pocket was just gold.

We need to do it again soon.. hopefully winton next time though for an open track day :D;)

      Thanks both. All good advice. Reminds me of drilling through stone wall for drainage pipe 😬 I'll let you know how I get on if I still have use of my hands afterwards 😅

      Finally got shipping number for the intake and throttle body, shipped by UPS, so "should" be in my hands sometime next week, fingers fracking crossed

      Each to their own I guess  Me, I put just as much time into cleaning inside of the cars as I do on the outside As for getting wet, it is really no different than steam cleaning the carpets at home, apart from the cars carpet dries alot faster than the house, again, I only do it in the hotter months and leave the car opened up for a few hours As I only do it yearly, it is just before I do the diff and gearbox service, so I clean the carpets, then it's up on stands, wheels off, service, clean the undercarriage,  grease the bushings and do a nut and bolt check on everything  Disclaimer: I typically had all the time in the world to kill when I was working 🤣, so spending a full day or 2 cleaning, serving and "looking at stuff" was,  easily achievable, and a fun mental therapy day As for time to kill, I retired last Wednesday, so apart from my physical training, my days are filled with lots of random jobs around the house and garden...."Idle hands are the Devils something something" I am also buying a new house sooner rather than later, I'm actually looking at a potential property tomorrow, I'm looking forward to getting a car hoist as I'm starting to get to old to crawl around under a car, I can only imagine all the undercarriage cleaning and looking at stuff when that gets set up

      Yeah, I'm not interested in wetting the carpets, and I don't care about brown dirt/dust that lives deep in the pile or underneath. It's not like I crawl around on them in my birthday suit or eat dropped food off them (because there is never any open food in my car). The seats are alcantara (cheap Chinese imitation alcantara, to be sure!) with barely 1" of foam pad behind the surface. That's not getting wet either. Any car that I would be happy to get the interior wet, I would not care to put the effort into.
