S15 Gearbox

hey guys,

i know this is a skyline forum but i've found this forum helpful for nissans in general so i will give it a shot by asking this quesiton.

Just wondering if the 6speed S15 gearboxes would hold up power of about the 200rwkw mark,

if so what kind of power can i get before i have to start worrying about the gearbox? i know it will depend on how the box has/will be treated but just as a rule of thumb...

the car is mainly used for daily driving with abit of track days.

Are they alot weaker than the older 5spd boxes?

no the getrag s15 6 speeds are garbage unless you strengthen them, we see them break very often at 180 rwkw. i suggest a RB25 box with an adaptor kit. we have fitted many of these and they are tough.
