Painting Rims

had my rims for a few years now and starting to think they need updating, thinking of painting the inside of them a opaque black if i can get it.

What do you guys think

they have a chrome lip with dark spokes

not black, more of a gun metal grey

cant buy anything at the moment, saving for injectors and PFC so i can reach that 360rwhp

Have them powder coated. Canning Vale Powder Coaters quoted me $25ea for a set of Mazda RX8 wheels.

i did mine myself with a peice of card and a can of $3 paint from bunnings haha

but yeah coz yours are chrome i'd pay to have it done

similar to the rims on my stag, I thought about putting them on the 32 but the black w/ machined lip didn't really suit..

last time i had my rims painted :

nice r34 gtr rims

super freshly painted all as new

20km after paint brushed a curb

2 big scrapes down 2 rims....

now I would recommend powdercoating

its cheaper and hardier

to powder coat they need to sand blast then bake them in an oven

Yeah i got bored one saturday and did the same thing with my Magna, they were just the stock rims though so its not like i'm ruining anything. I went with blue paint though, so it looks kind of wierd lol.

Id deffinately paint them black, But I agree with Ricca, go all black. and dont skimp on it, get them powdercoated, no sense in stuffing decent rims with a $3 can of spray paint.

I think your car looks real nice as is.

maybe give them a polish so they shine more
