how are you guys goin.. im new here and need your advice on something :)

i am deciding whether to get a R32 GTR, R33 GTR or a R34 GTT

my first choice was to pick a R32 GTR because i just love them... they are the shit... love the way they look and im pretty sure that the r32 is a bit quicker than the r33 from 0-100 (but that had nothing really to do with it)

i than began to think that there wouldnt be many genuinely looked after 32's because, well they were made in the 90's.

so than i thought of a r33... again like the style of it and they again, CRACK! but i dont like them as much as the 32 but would still be willing to get one if it is genuenly cared for...

then i thought of a r34 GTT and wacking a nice looking kit on it with some good rims and lowered... i really think that a r34 would look good like that.. they are a newer car.. same price as a previous GTR and have lower kilometers...

even though they arnt as quick as the 32 or 33 GTR's but that wouldnt matter to me...

so basically my question is...

-R32 GT-R

-R33 GT-R

-R34 GTT with a nice kit, rims and lowered on some nice tein springs

what do you guys think... thanks in advance :geek:

bump* >_<

alright im leaning more towards getting a R34 GTT...

i know i know.. they arnt as fast... but it doesnt bother me...

i like the looks of the r34 and it can be made to look better imo

they are a newer car and performance isnt everything in my books at this stage.

they aren't a fast car til you make them fast and with a new turbo back exhaust, ecu and some other things i could get another est.30 - 35 kw hopefully

what do you guys think? post some pro's and con's

any help for my decision is highly appreciated

could look for an r32 gtr with a good structure (paintwork, chassi and panels etc) then with the money you saved on buying the r33 gtr, pull the motor out and get it freshened up with some new turbos, pistons, oil/water pump, timing belt, ecu tuning and gearbox/clutch/brakes

r33 would be my choice though out of the 3 as the r34 gtt is just too boring, when you have one and see an r34 gtr you just look sooo boring compared.

thanks for the replies guys...

but it hasnt made my decision any easier after seeing this

its a nice r34 gtt. something that i would eventually make the r34 gtt into..

now im not sure whether to go the r33 or r34... but ill manage..

thanks for your help >_<

I did the same thing haha

I LOVE the R34, they are much nicer and newer inside than a R33. And they go ok too with a few mods. But there is still a part of me that is just dying to get a GTR.... which is why I want an R34 GTR now, they've started to come down a fair bit in price.

Had the same dilemma as you did... 32gtr, 33gtr, 34gtt... ended up going the gtt.. haven't regretted it.

Yeah it's going to be R34 GTR or nothing for me.. that'll be the next ride hopefully in a few years. The 34 is so much more refined than my previous skyline (r32).

My advice is take all for a spin (like I did) and then make up your mind. We can't tell you what to buy.

depends on what you want

in my books the R32 is way too old.......same as the R33 is beginnning to be dated.....

R34 GTT is alot newer.....but still.......... it doesnt have the street cred as the other 2 u mentioned.

a GT-R is always a GT-R.....

but as in reliability......your chances of the R34 would be best...since there possibilities of being newer....

its all up to you

Depends on a lot of things. Is the car a daily drive or just a weekend cruiser? If you are considering a GTR as a daily drive make sure you sit down and think about the maintenance and running costs of them.

I use my car as a daily driver and on a regular day it will use 14L/100kms but then get into some twisties and get stuck into it and the car will easily drink 17 or 18L/100kms lol. Then there is the servicing and maintenance costs. My car rattles and squeaks and does all the other things that you would expect out of a 14 year old car. The interior is a bit dated and it attracts alot of attention from the police and wankers in commodores but its still my dream car and I love it to bits.

If you find a nice clean, reasonably unmolested GTR (I know rare as rocking horse shit) then you will never look back nothing else really compares to it for me.

They're all fantastic cars though so what ever you choose will be a good choice.

Good luck with the purchase :P

thanks for your input... im seriously considering my options...

question :) (its stupid but i need to ask)

is the skyline r34 gtt body the same as the r34 gtr body just different kit... just wondering :) curiosity

dude, how can you not notice the difference?!

Not only different kits.........the GT-R is wider......noticably wider too......different front guards, different rear quater panel on the Shell...

different bonnet, Different boot lid.

its harder to MOCK a GT-R with the R34 than the R33...thats why u dont see many FAKE GT-R R34s

apparently the GT-R has an improved Chassis.....im pretty sure ive read that some where....

here are some of the basic examples...that make it hard to mock the GTR

and if so...would cost alot of money to do so...

i think there are kits sold on the market somewhere....

and there was a workshop that was reknowned to convert GT-Ts into GT-R with some great examples.....

but why buy a car to mock the other?

that would make you unsure of your purchase... where you could just buy an R33 GTR...

the performance of it would be far superior than the likes of the GT-T R34

Dont buy a gtt then try to mock it up to look like a gtr.

Be proud that its a gtt and buy it cause its what you really want not to try and make it something its not.

If you really want a gtr and you can afford it and its running costs etc then i say get it and dont look back.

no guys you have it wrong :D soz for giving the wrong idea

basically what i was trying to say is do gtr bodykits fit on any skyline.. (should of just said that)

i got the answer i was looking for anyways :P

i just loved that front and rear bumper and was wondering if it would fit on a gtt...

soz for the wrong impression but i wouldnt go around trying to mock a gtr... gtr is in a class of its own imho

the thing is........

if you go buy a complete GTR R34 Bumper....rear bumper....etc.....it wont fit...

look at the pictures ive posted....the rear bar for e.g sits flush with the widened guards...it wont work...

but there may be specially made GT-T R34 body kits to MOck the GT-R..

theres a really good example of a fake R34 GT-R somewhere ive seen online.....do a search im sure you will find it.

but like babyskyline said aswell...theres no point making it look like a car that its really not. thats equivalent to WRXs sticking on STI badges & kits...

at the end of the day....its still a standard WRX..

if you really want a GT-R......

i would personally pick out of the 3 the R33 GT-R. to me....i dont like GT-Ts or GTS or GTS-T or GTS-25ts etc etc..

but if your going to use a car as an every day vehicle.....its more practical with the R34 GT-T.. more reliable & less fuel costs.

let us know how you go...

lol AGAIN... its not mocking the gtr... its just a kit that i liked when i saw it and was wondering 'IF' it would fit the gtt...

in no way is it mocking the gtr...

i do appreciate the constructive critisim however and see where you are coming from...

but its not like i set out to be misunderstood at first :D
