g'day

i need some advice....

I busted the caster rod and control arm on the front left of my r32, and have recently replaced them with a lot of effort.

There should not have been so much effort required, so i took it to a mechanic and he told me that the "stub axle" is bent and has to be replaced. I don't really trust the mechanic as he charged me for doing f*** all.

The main problem was that, once the control arm was on, the castor rod had to be forced forward to get the bolt in at the bracket ( bush side). I'll post the alignment readings a little later, but any advice on what/where the stub axle is, and how much it costs would be of great help....

the car is a 92' r32 gts-t

thanks
