i read about all the civic racers etc back in the early 90s onwards in the usa using them

i just rememberd them today and decided to look em up

Drag racers have been using them for years. Great investment on a build...Accusump

A Mate runs one on his 430rwkw 2JZ S15 fronted 180sx - it's great for drift also, as soon as pressure starts to drop from the oil slushing around in the sump, this moroso accumulator is pressurised to make sure that oil pressure remains constant.

i will definitely be looking into one of these on my 26/30 build.

I saw these a while ago, not bad for the money. Was asking a drag racer what oil mods he has in his 8second torana on friday actually, and he said none, just an Accusump so im sure they're well proven. The pre-oiling before start up also sounds like another small advantage they offer too.

im still confused as to why the educated folk on here are not using them on here?

Probably because its easy and cheap once the motor is apart to fit a restrictor and external head to sump drain. The accusump would be good for an unopened motor.
