hey guys!

Im looking for a change on my R32 4door.

Its the lighter silver. Black GTR bonnet. 32 GTR rims.

Like this:

(sorry i dont have a decent photo)

And Im looking for a new set of old school wheels.

Im looking for 3 different types of wheels:

5 spokes

4 spokes

Meshies

5 Spoke -

I want something roughly in the time of the 32. I want a tuff old school race wheel.

Something like a Regamaster's:

Or in the Nismo LM-GT1

Now problem is I dont like the LM-GT1 and dad has set of regamasters.

Does anyone know of any ofther wheels along these 5 spoke lines?

Im also interested in these:

Are these even race wheels? I think their awesome!

Or meshies in this style (old shcool Volks)

Does anyone know of names of rims like the ones above? Meshies? 5 Spoke's? Preferably 17's?

Does anyone have photos of 4door 32's with cool oldschool race wheels? Meshies? 5 poke race wheels? Those 4 spoke things?

Anyone know where I can find old school race wheels like this?

Thanks in advance guys! :)

for mesh... SSR mesh... old school tuff.... good luck finding a set in a size worth paying the price for.

for 5 spoke... panasport G7... im biased as ive just purchashed some wiiiiide ones with a fat offset.

cheers

Linton..

p.s. search this forum... i had a similar thread looking for old school rims, finally decided on the panasports.

I fully agree with Watanabe's being an awesome old school rim!.. But they suit a smaller style car. I had a look on their website. Im not liking my options. Small sizes with not enough dish in 5 stud! 4 door's make them look small and pansy.

Im very keen on a set of meshies. To run meshies you have to run a crazy offset. Which means you have to roll the guards. Which isn't a massive issue. But its just another thing. Tyre wear on the rear is also a bit shit at the moment with camber wear being the killer. Im assuming after getting a larger set of 17's, id have to lower the car further, creating more neg camber. So Ill have to look into some adjustable rear camber bushes or arms.

Where did you get your meshies from Dori?

Im loving those SSR Casablanca's! Any ideas on prices? Offsets? etc.

And the advans didnt even cross my mind aye! Bit they can go horribly wrong on some cars. I have seen a couple of people selling some wed sports rims very similar to those you put up, but in 5 spoke with a carbon fibre kid of print on the black spokes.

Im going to keep looking through yahoo auctions and what not and post up my finds.

I dont know how much the Casablancas are, id say they'd be fairly rare.

How about Some OZ Racing Futuras? probably a bit easier to find - I nearly bought some for my car a few years ago ( I like keeping the period style of the car too).

my rims (the car pictured) are fitted within the standard guards, no arm mods yet, just coilovers... the car is pretty low, exhaust is 60mm off the ground.. the rears just tuck under with the stretched 235s and the fronts fit easy with stretched 215s, but they scrub on bumps. they are 17x8.5 and 17x9.5 or 10" im not sure as there are no stickers or marks.. i think an ssr mesh with the same dish would look sweet and fit awesome.

for how long my tyres actually last... camber wear from normal driving isnt really an issue.

I bought SSR Konigs, lot's of different styles, some have the bolts on their own seperate polished flat bit like those OZ imitations above, whereas mine are through the spokes as they taper in. There's also a newer style without the stepped lip, not as old school and look a bit out of place imo.

Would look great on a 32, not easy to find this style though, mine are 18x8.5 +17 and 18x9.5 +19, perfect for a 31 and would fit a 32 with pumped guards. Seems hard to find the ones with the stepped lip though.
