Hi Guys and Girls,

I just brought a Bosch HID kit for my R34, I have searched and realized that the kit i have (D2R) will not fit in my compliance bulb holders (H1).

What I'm wondering is what do they do exactly during compliance to make the low beams H1 and can it be reversed or am I up for new headlights?

I know i can just get H1 HID globes but i would rather use the D2R globes that the light housing is designed for.

Thanks in advance.

PS.I have moved interstate and won't have my car here for about a month so I can't have a look to sus it out.

hmmm

im not sure if this is the same problem i had few years ago.

some cars have the Headlights and High Beams in the same globe........ the globe stays as a low beam usually and then when you hit High beams more power goes to the globe...making it brighter.

but some cars have the high beams separate...

thats my 2 cents...

anyhow

i recall these 2 forums were a good source of information on it

What would be a cheaper option is to approach a workshop who complies R34s, and offer to exchange headlights for the next one that comes in. They don't have to worry about stuffing around hacking up lenses, and you score a set of factory HIDs...

Cheers for the reply, I'm not aware of any places nearby in Tassie that do compliance.

So the Bosch HID's are pretty much of no use to me now?

How do they "Hack up the lenses"? (What is done)

Thanks.
