Hey guys so finally the turbo is installed! It pulls very hard and very diffrent to the stock turbo! It feels less laggy, and the good thing is that it handles more boost, Thanks to Tao(owner of hypergear) he helped me out alot with his spare time! Also make sure your installing this highflow you need to change your oil feed line and have a new bolt because your factory oil feed line bolt has a restrictor. Also the wierd thing is that my stock boost solenoid is connected and my boost runs up to 14-15 pounds. Sometimes it hits R&R! all i need is now a tune with my PFC. Anyways just thought id let people know.

Thanks,

Geraus.

HI Geraus,

Which Hypergear hiflow turbo did you get? Is it a ballbearing one? how much did it end up setting you back total?

I will be looking to get a hiflow turbo very soon, and very interested in hows your goes. THanks for your help.

Andrew

I'm looking at getting this done to my turbo in the future.

Do you know if Hypergear would be able to provide an oil return line and this bolt you're talking about? I'm from Sydney so would need to send mine away.

Also are you running any sort of boost controller? If not may explain your R&R issues.

All you need is the oil feed line. Stock oil returne and water lines are fine. The feed line we can supply for $80 with the turbo including speed flow fitting.

about the actuator, What we did was filed the fitting whole 5mm below what it was and moved the actuator with rod 5mms up so it shut tight, better response, won't open too early and be able to hold boost in with controller.

Im running no boost controller. What Tao did was he Filled my stock actuator and made it more closer and tighter , so now my boost goes up to 1.0 with my supporting splitfire coilpacks and plugs gapped @ 0.8mm it pulls pretty good and sometimes i hit R&R . All i need now is a tune :D , Yeh i might stick with my stock injectors. Il post my sheet in a couple of weeks time soon. i got to get my clutch installed ! :) . Hyper gear also sell the oil lines as well for $80.

Hey Geraus did you get any kind of installation instructions when you got the turbo back?

I just took mine off tonight and am sending it down tomorrow for the ATR28G3 profile (450hp) and have been talking to stao via email and I am getting oil feed line and 14 psi actuator. apparently he tells me thats all i need for oiling issues.

Do you know which profile you got (G2 or G3)?

Ummmmm i forgot, You can ask Tao for me. No instructions. Its very very annoying to put back in the turbo! you need 2 people to do it and the right tools! AND USE HEAPS OF WD40 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ON YOUR BOLTS.

on this car I used ATR28G2 profile with 71mm compressor. its more responsive then originally expected. Its good for about 230~250rwkws with excellent driving ability. G3 should get you max 270rwkws. Its pretty simple, just bolt directly back on with new oil line.
