nice car alright - I already got one so not a buyer - seems that lately a lot of lookers (tyre kickers and dreamers) expect to get a top car for under $15k - probably end up buying a high Km second grade based on price and then congratulate themselves for smart decision lol!

better to buy at fair price and get quality imo

gl with the sale :)

Thanks for the comments Guys.

I really do love my car, if turbocharging it was a more viable option she would be staying with me.

Also as a side note getting rear bar scratch repaired and resprayed, also respraying taillight housings to match tomorrow.

So car will be in shop till friday arvo

I agree that you get what you pay for, its just you have to remember who your potential buyers are, young p-plater kids (like myself) Its perfectly fine to list your car for what you think it rightly deserves, but i reckon the idea of selling an NA car is to tempt P-platers to not wait to get of their P's to be able to drive the car of their dreams. Just some figures, the last auto NA R34 coupe to sell went for 11,500 and the last manual NA R34 coupe to sell went for 15,500, in no way am i comparing the quality their cars to yours but just some food for thought.

KV2R34GT - no hard feelings =P

Just my 2 cents as i'm looking for a NA R34 myself, all the best with your sale i hope your car gets the price it deserves.

Danny

Definitely a nice car, but that poster had a point. You are asking much but desperation of na's eventually become more expensive then turbo's, especially as p-plate laws get tight so eventually when I want to sell my car I won't loose an immense amount.

  • 2 weeks later...

    • I don’t really have any ideas how to set the timing on the CAS 😂, sounds like the top, sounds like it maybe misfiring as well as ticking,  got the box sorted 😌, must of been a air bubble on the clutch side
    • Use a 2' length of hose (that's 2 foot, not 2 inches) as a stethoscope to localise the source of the ticking. From cam covers? From exhaust or turbo manifold gasket? From injectors? From lower down in the engine? Etc. Use a timing light to set the timing. Put Redline Lightweight Shockproof in the box. It's not the very best thing for the box, but it will take a box that refuses to engage a gear with other oil, and make it engage a gear. I had to put it in when I installed the R33 box I have in my car. It would not select ANY gear when running. Smurf jizz made it work. That was >10 years ago and I still use it. I'm stuck with it now. Failing that - rebuild the box.
    • Well done Duncan. The fuel tank bulkhead lid is also in great condition (some of mine were stuffed). These are now out of production and good ones like that are becoming hard to come by.
    • Wow that's a steal, you've done well there.
