Hello,

i kinda need someones help on this one, i misplaced my Log Book recently and i cannot find it at all! :( Does anyone know wher i can find a proper blank service log book for any Vehicle in Australia? I own a 350GT Coupe if i find proper one for it will be better, but as for now anything will do... i went to Autobarn or Super Cheap Auto, they do not provide spare log books... can anyone share a light to me on this case pls?

One last question, I plan to change the braking system on my Coupe, i was adviced to get the front ones changed first and i can probably do the rear ones later on as 70% of the time (braking) the front one does the work... Would this make any difference in my/our case since the car is a rear wheel drive?

If you want to keep a record of your servicing just keep a folder of all the receipts. I take more stock in these than a stamped book. I quite sure that even the manufacturer wouldn't provide your with new service books, and you can't have mine :(

As for your brakes, your front ones are doing most of the work 100% of the time. I assume you don't have Brembo's so that would be simplest upgrade. Keep your eye's out for some v35/GTR Brembo's.

true, braking is mostly due to weight transfer, being FWD or RWD have less effect.

however when increasing the size of the brakes, I found most FWD kit will only provide bigger brakes for the front, and not to the rears. reason is because FWD cars have no powers going to the rear and increasing the rear rotor size may cause a lockup and could be dangerous.

On the contrary, AWD and RWD big brake kits are usually available for both front and rear, and recommended to increase the rotor size both front and back at the same time, although for V35 Nismo creates a 355mm front brake upgrade with F50 brembos that can be fitted to V35 with brembo 324mm, without upgrading existing rear 322mm.

Though, non brembo owners were strongly advised to upgrade rear non-brembo brakes from 292mm to 322mm brembo ones before fitting the Nismo big brake kit. otherwise it won't be balanced. But at this economic situation, it will be very expensive to buy this big brake kit from Japan. It used to cost like $6k delivered when Aus was 86JPY now I dare not to calculate. probably $10k.

Best upgrade if you want bigger size is to find 350Z brembo or G35 brembo from USA. This is straight fit, but be wary of the shipping cost and exchange rate. Plus if you swap to bigger brake size and caliper, your spare wheel won't fit. You need to buy 350Z track brembo spare wheel from Nissan. Not sure how much they'll charge for that. I am yet to make an enquiries to Nissan about it.

Have anyone tried R33/R34 GTR brembo kit if they'll fit a V35? However the R33 GTR colour will be black so it doesn't look 'right'.

      Seemed to be good when Jeff owned it but they did a shit job on my car, probably worth a think before spending 10's of thousands of dollars where they might be cutting corners

      Starting with issues 1 - 5, we have already run into a problem...!  Issue #4 contained 2x front brake calipers, instead of 1 caliper and 1x steering knuckle. Will have to call DeAgostini on Monday to sort it out. Anyway here's some photos.  Issue #1 is the front bumper, headlights and number plate. Issue #2 is the front wheel (with "We produced with spartan air." text on the centre cap!) and tyre, the front lip spoiler and cylinder head cover with ignition coils under the centre cover... which will never be seen again. Issue #3 is the bonnet and cylinder head. Issue #4 is the front strut, brake disc (with laser etched metal discs) and brake caliper. I stopped here because of the issue with the missing steering knuckle.  Next update will be #5 - #10 in a few weeks.

      DeAgostini is one of a few companies that release quite large (the largest commonly available size actually) 1/8 scale models in a series of weekly issues over 100 - 110 instalments.  They release different models for different markets and DeAgostini Japan have release the BNR32 Skyline GT-R Nismo last month. I've made two of these 1/8 scale sized cars (one an R35 GT-R from 2012 - 2014, the other I'm just about halfway through, a BNR34 Skyline GT-R from the 2Fast 2Furious movie) so when this R32 was announced there was no way I could ignore it as it's my favourite out of all Nissans.  Each issue costs around $20 so it costs about $2.2K when completed. I suppose it is very expensive for what it is, but the quality and details are really very good, and there are many "gimmicks" like fully functioning exterior and interior lights operated with a remote control, working steering, all doors/bonnet/boot/fuel lid open and close, the side mirrors fold in and it even has a speaker for the engine revving sounds when you turn the lights on.  Each issue comes with a magazine that tells the story of the BNR32 Skyline GT-R Nismo from the first design stages of the BNR32 to Group A homologation and the various racing version that were run in the Japanese Group A and JGTC, and Australian Group A.  So I plan to update the build in this thread 5 issues at a time.  https://deagostini.jp/r32/?srsltid=AfmBOooKjxDc4EUK2rmXqMBPgyHfFJ24s4oEPJBNpnF-lFlsRoW0PE6P
