S2 Sat Nav

Hi all I am trying to get hold of Andy, apparently he knows what is going on with Fedor in Russia about the sat nav japanese to english conversion that was to be completed in early 2009. Does anyone know who andy is , apparently from the SA forum.as many of us are following this conversion with much antisipation.

I wouldnt bother, its a decade old satnav, ancient technology.

Install a https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=134&pID=10573, plugs straight into the VTR2 input on the tuner. Latest oz garmin map, tv/satnav toggle switch on center console, works a treat.

thanks, also, are you able to configure the touchscreen feature of the garmin for the xanavi screen ? too old ? or only later screens ?

its not so much the sat nav but the screen graphics i want in english

not worth the effort. the system is 10 yrs + old and at any stage the laser can die. to date I still call vaporware on that project until I see a full dash shot with it running.

not easily a garmin. getting the command structure from them is the worst part. I would love to try another box though. if the TS system still works then I'm game.
