I know the bottom mounts on the struts are different, but has anyone had any success cutting and welding the GTS-T bottom mount onto an 33 GT-R shock tube? In the Volvo world it is common to do this to fit aftermarket coilovers designed for 740's in 240's, is there anything in the Nissan world to suggest this wouldn't work?

yes you can do that and it has been done

but why bother

ive seen coilovers modified in this way to fit either car.

cons are decreased strength due to dodgy welding job.

another con could be misalignment
