Hi guys an gals

Was havin a conversation with a friend today and a question was raised which had me thinkin.

Do different ratio rear diffs give different max hp reading and also a different curve on the dyno? Eg. a 3.9 vs a 4.3

I,ve been experimenting with some mech diffs latley an wanted to know if i can use the dyno to "see" which diff accelerates faster.

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance

diff ratio and wheel size both affect rate of acceleration and power made when measured through a wheel dyno

this is negate by using a hub dyno (size of wheels)

is 17" vs 19" there is usually a power difference

much like with acceleration, smaller wheels accelerate quicker

i done a conversion a couple of years ago. have done everything exept the auto diff. have to do about 109 to sit on 100 km/h. no traction in first good for overtaking in 3rd and 5th is a shave under 3000rpm at 100km/hr. dyno inc. basic mods and highflow
