TCS - Traction Control System Help Please

Can anyone assist with information on TCS on an R34 GTT. I have an owners manual (JPNZ variety) and the car certainly has a switch on the panel just to the left of the steering wheel that is labelled TCS. The good book says that when you turn the car on, a light will illuminate in top centre left of the instrument binnacle.

This doesn't occur on mine which makes me jump to two or three conclusions.

1. The light is malfunctioning .............. possible

2. TCS is malfunctioning but how do I check it

3. Could be a fuse hmmmmmmm?

Any or all help would be appreciated.

How can u check. Dump the clutch and see if the wheels spin.

If they do, press the TCS button. Repeat step 1

If either of these ways dont work somethin is wrong.

TCS light should come up if you want to turn your car on, if you press the switch then it's saying on your dash "TCS OFF"

when you first start the car, the TCS light should be OFF ie. TCS is "active".

whilst the car is still running, if you press the TCS switch, the TCS light in your instrument cluster should then turn ON - indicating that TCS is "inactive" this is also termed "playtime"
