hey all

just got my car tuned ..finally after so much rain up here

(nth qld) anyway all was going well till a fuel pump fuse blew....dont know why it blew... just as i came off power in 3rd gear whilst The Mafia was trying to tune it.. stopped in the worst spot on the highway could not get out to get down low enuf to see the fuses under dash....so we just bridged the power wire for the pump to get home....so with the fuse changed away i went..mods are

rb25det

gt3076 .82 or .84 rear.... maybe should have gone .6 mmm

greddy copy plenum

555cc nismos

snow performance water meth injection..

split dump 3 inch right through

spitfire coils

z32 afm

power fc

fmic

turbosmart boost tee....got to be changed...gizzmo needed:)

3inch cooler pipework

pulls hard got a deadspot in second gear bogs down after gear change..

changing plugs tommrow fixing cat converter leak

and EBC see if that changes anything...

mafia will tidy up the tune hopefully next weekend.

only really had an hour and 45 mins tuning so i am really happy

no sign of knock thanks to wmi kit..

running around 18 psi

im am suspect of my bov leaking under pressure

cant wait till the tune is completed :)

big thanks to Mafia :D

Did you check the castings on the greddy copy plenum compared to the gasket?? Some of them can be REALLY bad!!

I've actually heard a few people bitch about a "lean patch" on the stock pfc fuel map, present just where the motor is coming onto boost where there is not enough fuel in the engine to make the power you need coming onto boost but the cylinder pressures arn't high enough to cause detonation yet either..

Never really had this problem myself though as I don't use the stock fuel map for long :P

Perhaps if she's already got as much ignition wound into her as possible in said spot this could account for the dead patch?

ok update on the flat spot.......i put the larger nozzle in by mistake had a 625ml/m nozzle instead of the 325 i wanted to use...anyhow i put the smaller nozzle in and it has helped alot no more dead spot..if i roll in 1st then stab it and hit second it just frys the tyres..(brand new 245).6 rear housing the mafia has used i noticed its got just a littl3e bit more poke in the lower rev range in 3rd and 4th , when i hit full boost its like a truck hits you i the ass...just got a good supply of meth aswell so im stocked loving it....:D

it really is a sweet set up...basically copied what worked on Mafias car. i got the greddy plenum..is about the only known difference....(unsure on cams or internals that may/ may not have been changed) as far as i know mines stock as internally hope to get it dynoed today...then get tune touched up and re dyno it....

if anyone wants decent power

cant go past this setup it just seems to all go together...all i am lacking is an EBC to try to keep my boost under control.and possibly a stronger bov i htink it might be leaking under the higher boost.... i noticed on my way home before i floored it in 3rd

and i hit 15 psi and stayed there for probably 1.5 sec then went all the way to 19 maybe having a waste gate issuse it seemded to linguire on 15 then rocket past it..using very little meth now too...44$ a drum 20L lasts a while ...

the greddy copy i got was pretty good from the others i have seen...

i put the gasket over the plenum to check if it lines up ...i die grinded some parts...water galleries were the worst....all in all i happy as with it
