Sr20 On A Skyline

are sr20's a good donor for an r32 skyline or is it just too heavy?

Yes SR20 is lighter then RB20, also has more tourque I think...

Either way a good mod imo as it can be mounted further back being a shorter engine and give you better balance...

I'm currently looking for info on this as well.

Sr means i can run a v mount and drop roughly 1million kilos out of my car. (Dropping the ATTESA as well)

There was a good article on a dude with a drift spec orange r34 Sedan in HPI a few months back. He put a Sr motor in it that pushed about 300rwhp. Was a pretty good read from memory, Cant find the magazine I got crap everywhere. I think he's on the forum.

The SR20s are lighter so the improved weight distribution is fantastic for drift. A guy I work with bought his R32 drift car with an SR20, but replaced it with a 400hp unopenned RB25... I say do it! Be different. Plus there are heaps of aftermarket support for those engines.

my opinion, SR in RB is a good mod, different.. though RB sounds way better

Greg, pretty sure V mounts are illegal in Australia, though vaguely remember an FD for sale who claimed to have permits--(Hoshima's old FD?)

V mounts illegal? Never figured to check up on that, seems a bit dumb. I'll have to ask my friendly neighbourhood pit inspector when i see him next, thanks for the heads up.
