Ok, let's not start the great P Plater debate! I was a P Plater once and yes I was a bit of a moron too :)

BUT, we all know the general rule that Utes are very light on the back wheels and one should exercise some general care in the wet?!

Well, not this bloke :) We were exiting Norwest Business Park (Bella Vista, NSW) and this the sphincter of the universe went for the gas and swung a nice right hand turn in the fast lane, this soon turned into a nice slide and the rear end was unstoppable. Anyway, he ended up losing it and sliding up onto the nature strip in the middle of Old Windsor Road.

Fortunately I let him take off so I was a safe distance behind him when he performed his wonderful little dance on ice

I gave mine some juice and a courteous little double beep of the horn on my way past :)

He must've had a task getting the ute off the nature strip, he was well and truely up there in the mud and grass etc.

I'm sure he's learnt a lesson and hopefully it didn't damage the ute too much.

It was a rather smooth, delicate and interesting display of sliding to tell you the truth, it was just missing the ballet style of music in the background :) I actually thought he may have got it back under control, I've been watching too many Skylines on the cruises I've been on lol they handle a little better than a hunk of clunk commodore ute tho.

I'm sure he will atleast drive sensibly for the rest of today, for what tomorrow brings only god knows

He can just be glad that I wasn't along side him and got clipped by his ass when it slid into my lane! I'm sure he would have loved to hear, "yeah mate, it's a japanese import" lol

often around Norwest too.

similar to something i saw on New Line road on one of those off camber roundabouts in the wet. 1x 3 Series BMW, 4 broken rims as he hit the outside gutter and bounced across and hit the other side on the median strip and broke both drivers side rims too.

I remember doing that in peak hour with my first car (XE facon) just after I got my license and apprenticeship. Ended up on the nature strip after attempting a big slide, boss was behind me + about 100 other cars on either side of the road at the lights.

Was in such a rush to leave the scene near lost it again.

Ah what a powerhouse...

i remember some idiots in a VT SS when i just got my p's was in my 1984 skyline.

there idiots were p platers also so natually they thought it was a drag ( mind you i was in a car that couldnt spin a wheel on the grass)

lights went green the hire and flast out smoked up bit of lsd action kicked in, over the train tracks, sent the car into a fishtale, but didnt stop his flooring it.

the dumped ass of the car hit the curb on the left and ripped the rear bar straight off and snapped it in half. then he nearly had a head on and eventuall pulled over, and his mate got out to check the

damage, as i cruise past not even at 60kph limit yet red in the face laughing my ass off.

damn holden drivers

hahaha on the stories you hear!!

Everyone has seen or been involved in something that causes others great delights, especially when it involves great acts of idiocy :ermm:

Nothing wrong with Holden's mind you, just seems a lot of idiots seem to drive them...

my fave one was was at a local car hangout on a damp night.

young bloke in xr6 ute (later found out wasn't his!!) pulled out the far end driveway launched it and promptly lost it big time, while trying to regain control clipped a parked police car and lost it back the other way and crashed dead centre into a solid steel 8" round post,

front bumper fell off after folding itself in two, he backed up and bolted off into the distance with coolant spewing out everywhere, ran a red light and dissapeared.

upon returning to their patrol car Mr and Ms plod surveyed the area after spotting tailight lens all over ground, saw folded bumper around post, peeled said bumper from post returned to patrol car with bumper in hand assuming to do rego check?.

was about this time young fella had returned in mates car looking for bumper bar we assume to remove evidence (number plate).

Mr and Ms plod proceeded across car park to where young blokes were parked to ask "witnesses" about incident and as they were doing this driver recieved call on mobile assuming from mum or dad going off about ute, while trying to calm them down police garnered from single side of conversation that he was person of interest.

they asked him about it and he bolted, resisted arrest when they caught up with him and they capsicum spray him severely throw him into the freshly arrived divvy van along with the bumper, mum promptly arrives to give him a serve also and screaming at the top of her lungs through the side of van, tells him he is kicked out of home, losing his job (worked with dad) and hopes the capsicum spray f#$@ing hurts you little ba#$ard.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA it was priceless.

cheers oxford

That's a pretty big intersection, so if he'd lost it so bad to not be able to recover it in that space, he must have been really pushing it from standstill...

Nah, he didn't really floor it off the line. I think it was just an over anxious sharp right hand turn that brought the back end unstuck.

There was traffic backed up trying to turn into Norwest Business Park so he had to drive past them (they were on his right hand side) before he could start the turn.

I really shouldn't have given him the little *beep* *beep* on my way past but thought he needed a sarcastic friendly gesture lol

stupidest incident i have seen.

was cruising back to the office one night (when i worked night shift - Friday night)

parked about 3 cars back from the lights

at the front of the lights, new commodore on the left, nice torana on the right

torana revs engine, does a bit of a burnout (while lights are red) rolls forward a bit, reverses back over white line, lights go green, commodore boots it a little, torana boots it while in reverse, crashes into car behind, commodore turns round at the other side of the intersection, drives back thru the intersection with the blue light on the roof.

spoke to the cops a week or so later, he was drunk, and had drugs in the car, they were going to book him as soon as he left the lights, but werent expecting him to leave it in reverse.

Have a question...are commo/ford tyres so cheap?'cause I can imagine the situation of a commo/ford driver

6:00 am wake up

6:30 start car and do burn out reversing on driveway

7:00 arrive work and do a couple of dougnuts in parking lot

13:00 do more burn/dougnuts at macas' parking at lunch time

13:00 return work more burn outs in carpark

17:00 clock off and big burn out driving out of work

17:30 stop for gas and fast sprint going out of petrol station

18:00 get home one more burn out for the neighbours...

Yep another day in in a commo/ford life

Having been a former commonwhore driver...tyres are cheapish...depending on where you get them from (for me they would last a while as treated the commonwhore as a cruiser car)

a typical p-plater commo driver would have the following options added on

- fully sick stereo system with at least two subs in the boot with no sound deadner...volume no lower than 20

- lowered springs that are so low that it requires a rear camber kit but owner will never get it done because it looks so good! or chopped springs

- 3 inch exhaust with a 3.5 - 4 inch cannon

- at least 18" rims (mainly from the Holden range)

- Snap-On throw-over car seat (passenger seat optional)

- Monster Tacho with shift light (mind you the car is completely stock and my possibly drive an auto)

- racing pedals

- shift knob

To Add on to Tango's typical day...I'll add on the typical night

19:30 start car and do burn out reversing out of driveway

20:00 pick up friends...do a burnout out the front of friends house

21:00 do burnout/dougnuts in macca's carpack to impress girls in a civic/lancer/mirage

22:00 - 00:00 drive with mates in car...yelling at chicks driving next to them...drag race evey car off the lights...burnout at every set of traffic lights

1:30 - pulled over by cops - unroadworthy sticker applied and/or car impounded for hoon laws

lol

stupidest incident i have seen - I was driving home at was a set of lights, I was in my car (stagea)...a AU XR6 Rolls up...fully muzzified (rims, lowered on its nuts, monster tacho, and car load of people)...he wanted to run me but i couldn't be bothered. So the lights turn green...he spins the wheels and starts to fishtale everywhere...little did he know that 3 cars behind him was a unmarked VE SS cop car...pulls him up and has the car impounded.

stupidest incident i have done - This was going back a few years ago when i was driving the commonwhore. Was coming home from a cafe and was driving back to Kelior Downs...turned down Sunshine Ave. after you get off the Calder and you have the big roundabout where Maccas is...I noticed that the sprinkers have been on and has wet the road...I said to my mate "it's going to be greasy better take it easy" for people who don't know this roundabout it goes downhill a bit - around the roundabout and then uphill out...So I went through the roundabout at about 25k and as I gave at little bit more gas to go around..the back end slid out...I've ended up sliding for about half way around the round about and then corrected and faced the right way...went back around the roundabout and got to my mates place...my other friend who saw me slide though I was going to drift the roundabout

I think you just described ~80% of R33 GTST drivers in Dandenong.

Commo incident?

Pulling out of North Rd onto McClelland Drv in Langwarrin, before the lights were put in, powder Blue VH (the almighty 3.3L) P plater pushed too hard on the loud pedal :) , lost the rear end :( , found himself heading down the road towards oncoming traffic :O (just after 9am on a weekday), yanked on the wheel and slid onto the emergency gravel strip sideways but out of the way of traffic :) .

I only had my license for 1 day. That intersection was a bitch & I had not undergone much driving at that point - let alone "advanced training".

Surprised the hell out of me and was the most embarrassing moment of my life (I don't get embarrassed easily).
