Hey I have an R32 GTS-T Series 2 M Spec and mine cut out while driving sometimes..... when it cut out there was nothing like the engine was dead then it would come back on and be normal like nothing happened turned out to be my car battery it didnt have enough charge in it...It got to the point where the starter motor could start my car but if i put my car stereo on the car would lose power bigtime so guess there wasnt enough power to run the fuel pump properly...I never boosted it when it was doing this as detonation was around the corner with the pump not working properly. Hope this helps as since getting a new battery its never played up, could be car alarm too. Cheers

Hi, i think i might have the same issue being discussed in this thread. It's started happening in the last few weeks. Only happened on three occasions so far, but yesterday was the worst. From stand still i would drive off slowly, but immediately when i try to rev it a bit, it feels like the engine was cutting in and out, struggling to turn over. I immediately pull over and leave it to idle for a minute, then it was fine to drive off.

I'm bit scared to drive it as i don't want to cause further possible damage.

I have this exact same problem too, Zoe cuts out at about 6500rpm which is really annoying.... and sometimes when i pull up at a set of lights the revs will drop and she'll stall. I always look after the engine and I recently replaced the coils and plugs so i knew it wasn't that, i thought it was the turbo because it's what, 20-something years old now, so i took it to precision turbo and had it rebuilt & high flowed for $1350, ........but still it cut out! epic fail! but it does have alot more power now, i thought i'd have a look on here before i went throwing more money around, so tomorrow i'm gona try this contact cleaner for the AFM and if it doesn't work i'll replace it, thanks for the heads up about it, much appriciated (^_^!)

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
