Lost Of Boost?

hey guys,

I just installed a new Turbosmart boost controller, the manual version. I've only got the stock boost gauge on my R34. Sometimes when I plant it on take off's, the car jalts. Then loses all the boost I had. Once I take my foot of the pedel and then give it more it's alright.

What do you guys reckon? Running too much boost? It read to 1+ kg cm3 on stock gauge but can read n e more cos thats the highest it reads on the stock guage.

Not a good idea trying to adjust boost off the standard gauge... you are probably hitting the standard ecu's boost cut. Get a aftermarket gauge.

nah, it aint a dual stage. its just the cheap $100 one. The T type one.

erm isnt that like 14psi / 1 bar .. so if you're not hitting boost cut / R&R you're gonna be waving goodbye to the turbo soon?

My advice would be - get rid of it...

I have had nothing but problems with manual 'T' type bleed valves, they're unreliable. Save your pennies and buy an electronic controller if you want to keep the turbo you have.

to much boost, that jalting would be boost cut, ecu going into r&r

As said you really need a boost gauge to know what level your at. You should lower straight away
