I want to change new tyres to my 03 cpv35 skyline. It comes with 18 inch Rays (VOLKS) rims.

Now it uses 225/45R18 in front and 245/45R18 in rear.

Today I get a quotation from Tempe. They suggested me use Kumho KU31 in front and KU19 in rear. i know KU31 is a good tyre but no idea about KU19.

Any one here can give me some advise about this? Total price is around $800 for all round.

There is an absolute plethora of information and opinions on tires that most likely you'll have to decide for yourself. I have to say $800 for 4 branded 18" tires is pretty decent though.

As to running different tires front and rear (different models i.e.), that's usually a no no if you want to keep the car predictable and behaving decently.

It all comes down to how you will drive the car. If all you do is commute with it, then what tempe have suggested will work fine.

i m using kumho 245/35/20 on my aurion(toyota) and the tyre was noisy.. dont like it.. just my opinion..

Tyre Noise is a very under rated conversation piece....unfortunately.

Good on you for mentioning this.
