After next week I'll probably be in a Veilside kitted 3S-GTE Celica. Guy has got till Sunday to decide if he 100% wants to go ahead. It's something different to run around in while I save for the 34R in 2010.

Ask yourself some questions which will help you:

- How long do you plan on keeping it. It may be wiser waiting weeks/months/years to save more and buy what you really want. Always look long term.

- How much money will you have spare each month to put towards maintainence, repairs, or upgrades

- Can you afford insurance every year on the car

plenty more questions to look at but those should get you started and then you can narrow down your selection based on that. :)

And for rare, jap car thats pretty underated, Should look into a '00/'01 Galant they have lots of potential. and quick cars stock. Only thing is I don't think they come in manuals.

rb26 s13 convertible

unique rare and cheap for whats done to it

only 15k too

I've basically decided on the JZX100. I love those cars. I know I can't get one for $14k, but no harm in saving up. Mike, how much do you want for yours?

Bubba, I want to buy Mike's. I know he looks after his cars.

You can get manual JZX100's.

Tom, JZX100 is the model (and not just Chasers, Chasers are the Tourer V models, you can also get MarkII's and MarkII Grandes), and I don't like JZX90 Chasers so I differentiate by using the model code :P

I would say Galant VR4's, cheap, rare and can be found in manual.

Soarer's are OK, but more of a luxo coupe so maybe not your style.

Levin BZ-R if you want to save money and fuel but still drive something different (but FWD of course), otherwise old AE86 but getting too old to find a clean example.

leaves you with local S14's :P
