Tried to get in touch with Sydneykid by calling their company Superior Suspension only to be told they've been liquidated and moved on :)

So im guessing my options of getting sydneykid's suspension package is nil and time to look for alternatives...

After an australian designed suspension around the $1300.

Currently have kyb shocks with hks springs from Japan and the ride is too rough for daily driving.

Would prefer a setup suited for the australian roads and for track (just like sydneykid's setup :worship: )

Anyone know any shockabsorber/spring combo or coilover setup which is similar in handling and comfort?

Tired of the jap-spec suspension and want something more durable

Thanks

It depends on what you want to spend. Many guys here have had positive things to say about Tein, Fulcrum supply Australian Spec Teins. There is a shop some you Mexicans reference as a good place to have Teins revavled locally I'm sure someone will come up with the name. Have search for Teins and revalving

my budget is around the $1400 mark, Ive heard the australian teins are like $2000+ which is a bit outside my range.

Would anyone know which model bilsteins sydneykid sold? I could try and chase up another supplier of the same/similar shocks...

Slide was selling super streets (jap spec? but street jap spec) for $1589 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Te...St-t193401.html

Price has probably changed now but its probably worth asking. Check out the other traders as well.

oo interesting, thanks for that.

Im also getting Traction Tyres (victorian suspension shop) to come up with a package with bilsteins and whiteline/kingsprings.

I'll post up the info once i get it.

Pat... I can get you the Bilstein stuff from Fulcrum if you want. We've got a reseller account with em. Just hit me with the exact part numbers and I'll put the order in. You'll need to go pick it up from the Driftline workshop tho.

just get the exact same bilsteins that sk was selling off the shelf from fulcrum/any bilstein supplier. they werent anything special

yeah thats what i was thinking of doing however sydneykid never posted up what type of bilsteins he supplied..

thanks for that Shan, I'll send you a PM once i get some part numbers :D

My suspension shop recommended the Pedders extreme adjustable coilovers for $1600.

Anyone have any experience in these? Suspension shop claim they as good as teins (which they also sell, but are too expensive)

Cheers

ive been looking at this recently also.

fulcrum do the aus spec tein super street for r33 for around $2200 i think from memory.

they also do a complete superpro bush and camber set for about $700

fitting for ALL of this was around $600

I think it was $3600ish for everything fitted, wheel alignment front and rear

those prices may vary as its off the top of my head from when i rang them

Elite racing here in QLD also do a bilstein/superpro kit very similar to sydney kids.

Prices pulled from sauqld:

Non Member Prices

Bilstein Shocks (Pair) - $528

Shock Boots + Bumpstops (Pair) - $65

Springs (Pair) - $132

Swaybar - Heavy Duty (Blade Adjustable) - $220

Swaybar - Heavy Duty (Non Adjustable) - $198

Front Upper Control Arm Camber Bushes - $253

Front Castor Rod Bushes (Offset tube for Adjustment) - $99

Rear Upper Control Arm Camber Bushes - $132

Pineapples for Rear Crossmember - $88

so there if you get the top 3 items it comes to $1350 + shipping. and you should be able to fit them yourself.

Done

Hope that helps you and anyone else out.

Also if you shoot Dan from elite an email he should be able to help you out. seems to be a great guy. he's on these forums also.

ooo thanks for that Steve!

Could you give me a link as to where you got the sauqld bilstein prices?

Thanks

I have Bilsteins in my GTT with stock springs lowered about 2cm and the ride is pretty rough.. thinking of actually lowering it a bit more but I'll need to get either kings or lovells springs as the stockies cant go any lower.
