Beeping Question

ok since you all know im a noob to skylines.

I have a gtst 32 and I was driving today doing 90 on the sals expressway and heard two chimes then a gap and 2 more.. Any ideas what this could be peoples?

Nah I thought it was my keys hitting together at one stage. And yeah it was at one stage when I was accelerating

I take it you didnt have any lights on the dashboard going to indicate an error with any of the systems?

I only get a beep when i have my lights on and the door is open and the ignition is off. never had a speed chime so i cant say if this is what you're referring to...

does it almost sound like something winding with a chime and only at high speed? i have that aswell, i believe its the bell they have in early 90s cars from japan as a speed warning. mine only started making the noise after the f ers broke into my car and done some dash damage however.

also it should be happening at around 100-110km not 90

my remedy so far is to turn up the stereo if its bothering ya

unscrew the panel to your knee trim cover. takes a philips head and 20 seconds

there may be a dinger attached to the cover. unplug this unit - you wont hear dings

(not a definative guide but it certainly proved true with me)

my old s2 RX7 had a warning chime buzzer thing hidden in the roof lining,for when it was revving it too hard.needless to say i found and snipped its wires pretty quickly

Na the red line buzzer comes in 500rpm before red line and even that is concervitive

thanks guys. Yeah my S2 had one aswell but that was at red line and I loved hearing the buzz with that cause it was all the time lol

Yeah it came on just a lil above 90 but hasnt happened again so turning up the beats sounds like my best cure for it
