Changing Diffs Query

im about to put a 2nd hand diff in my car, (r33 GTST into a R34 25GT) my car has ABS but the diff is a NON ABS unit.

would this cause any dramas and is there any way i can transfer the ABS over from my original diff to the R33 one? ive searched and came across a thread that stated i could swap the rings over from the original ABS to the non ABS and this would therefore make it a ABS unit.

any help much appreciated.

yeah you just take the new centre and put it in the old housing. the ratio is changed by a different number of teeth on the centre

Crown wheels are matched to pinion gears though so if changing ratios you're better off using the housing that the particular ratio you want came with if possible.

But as for ABS, you should just be able to pop the old half-shafts out and put them in the new diff.

i just blocked up the ABS sensor hole with VB tinnie and silicone

i need abs but my query was if its ok to run a non abs diff on a abs car lolz
