rips,

i see. so having the girdle braced to the shithouse lets it rev more easily? please.. i know it will make it more reliable or what i think is good insurance..

if an engine crank moves around that much evan though its fully balanced?

not having a stab, but i think some peole may be mislead into believing there is no way a rb30 can do 9k without said girdle.. i mean there is nothing wrong with the cast iron stocker.

and regarding the oil pump issue, perhaps i have seen to many rev limmiter dammaged pumps that have swayed me into thinking they will fail. or if not but when.

i take it you have a race only balancer setup and a very soft (good) rev limiter?

Shanef, (with tounge in cheek) I'm so glad you know all about my products, what they can do and what they can't what they include and what they dont and what works with what and what doesn't, saves me alot of time, incredible :D (couldn't find sarcastic face, lol)

IMO the sump bolts play a key part in holding the whole deal together, you wouldn't be happy to let the sealer dry then pull out the bolts would you?

If you can spread load in any direction and minimise it at any point it has to be an advantage and the sump bolts are definatly to be counted as an integral part of the bottom end.

Rob

Sorry rob while u were busy working i was just sitting on my bum on the computer as only a good aussie does so i thought i'd reply on your behalf.

Pass that sarcastic face please :)

Re the sealer drying 'issue', i'm half looking into getting gaskets cut to make that process alot easier. Then thatd also give a consistant thickness so it wouldnt affect the clearances with the aftermarket girdles. Have u thought about doing something like that too?

I'll put that idea into the adapter plate thread so it can be discussed there too

how long does it take you to assemble one of these bottom ends?

hows availability? how would i contact you buddy as im quite serious about a rb30 in my hopefully new r34 gtr.

Ill take some shots this weekend...ok

australians build some of the best gearboxes in the world...why is it so hard to believe they cannot do it with transmissions Robbie?

These guys engineer some of australia's best street and show cars so i don't at all question what they have achieved. Mick Stanic from Subzero also has done a T400 GTR box although ive not seen that one 1st hand.

Whatever happen o the picture?
