I think it sould be a percentage system becuase 15 over in a 110 zone is alot different to 15 over in a 40 zone!

AND please as someone who drives a truck ppl need to learn how to merge and keep left ffs.

Ideally this is correct but ...

Practically - well that may be too hard for Plod

*Announcement to be made to-day - and not to soon either my buddies down at Macquarie St *

For too long now, your version of SPIN has been totally different from mine!

true true, the other day on m2 where there is 2 lanes and a bus lane i was following a truck for a while doing the limmit at 100 (truck was speed limmited to 100) we came up to a line of cars in the left lane that were doing 80-90km/h. so the truck overtook but as he went to get back into the left lane, these same idiots that were doing 80ish had now sped up to 100 and were hanging in the truckies blind spot (complete douche bags). so the truckie sees them and puts his idicator on for literally a minute and they dont let him in, so he starts driving closer to them and they are honking at him,,,,, not mooving out of the way. at this point i just droped the car into 3rd and gunnedaround them all using the bus lane.

But seriously its a motorway and people are blocking truckies so brazenly. yes the truck could have slowed down and gone beind them but i wouldnt wanna follow these idiots either if i was the truckie.

Also there was no common sence involved, the cars were a new honda civic 4 door and a honda oddysey, windows were tinted heavily o i'm guessing there was also stupid toys on their dash boards distracting them and they were waring cotton gloves to stop from etting sunburnt (through glass and tint (glass stops most uv rays anyway, like more than 90% of it lol)

HOW MANY POLITICIANS DOES IT TAKE TO CHANGE A LIGHT BULB ?????

well to gain a majority in a 150 seat house of representatives you'd need 76 politicians to sanction the bill to have the lightbulb changed.

so 76 eddie. lock it in.

I have this happen to me all the time on the freeways and it is always middle aged weman, you go to go passed them and they speed up and block you so you slow down get back behind them to clear the right lane and then they slow down again and you do it all over again. :D seriously brand new cars have cruise control use it, pick a speed and stay on it.

  • 3 months later...

i saw this on the news a while back,

the 1-10kph over is only about a 90 dollar fine or somethin

the next one is about 200

the next one is 500

and the 45kph over one is up around the 800 dollar mark

it was a while back so i dont really remember exactly, but these are around abouts. reckon they will be enforced for p platers as well or a different scheme will be used for them (us).

It was ridiculous now its just ludicrous with these so called p plater laws.

I'm going to leave my skyline in the garage and maybe take it up and down the street once a year..

Its bad enough being stalked just driving home from work cause u drive a skyline like 3 cops linking up one after the other on the 30 min drive home is just plain harrasment but now they are going to watch me roll down a hill and wait for that 1km over so they can book me..

I could go on and on about it but you all know the stories..

They cant stop people speeding, and the idiots that kill themselves are the ones that do it in the dead of night, racing or taking corners way to fast with their equally incompetent friends, hell they should let them go be dumb more often, get rid of some of this retarded youth that's everywhere today. Binge drinking, spiting moronic manner-less twats.

The Government haven't quite grasped the error of their ways from the first two times. This doesn't solve any problem whatsoever seeing as how the death toll has gone up since these restrictions. Learn from the rest of the world Australia and grow a fu**ing brain.

I thought of this in 5 seconds and it sounds alot more logical to me for P2 drivers like myself

1-10 or 15 whateva it is should be the same as everyone else, 1pt and fine a small reminder to pay attention

Anything above that then sure lose the 4 points cause u were dumb enough to go that much faster.

I'm waiting for a ban on all drivers under 25 soon, they dont seem to understand how to fix things.

Sorry bout that rant but i had to let it out, I just hate this state that much sometimes.

this system seems similar to the one here in WA (as i found out when i got a minor ticket, and only lost 2 points) however to ensure there is still some form of 'penalty' for speeding, the fine was more than the equivalent back home in NSW, has there been any mention as to what the fine for each of the penalty brackets is?

I personally prefer the proposed system, i think your licence should be penalised in accordance with the severity of your offence.

Im not sure if the rule is the same now?

Mid to late last year, when a guy i work with got done for 45 and over, it was....

-6 points

-6 months loss of licence

-and about a $1500 fine.

That's correct. The fine is $1674, but will be $1744 after the 1st of July.

It's interesting that when it was just the points for full licence speeding offences decreasing, it wasn't going to come into effect until September.

But when they added the change to the fine and upped the points for P2 speeding offences, it was able to come into effect earlier.

    • I can’t tell if it’s suspension related or maybe wheel bearing or motor mount.  IMG_6209.MOV
    • Start with a multimeter, and see if you're getting power at the TPS. There should be a manual for your car somewhere on these forums and it'll have the info for what closed TPS signal voltage is, and how it should sweep to full throttle. Same as for other sensors / valves.   Have you checked things like your base timing etc? See if anything looks amiss there too?
