I think this thread could have some good merit for promo sales, and so on of various bits on sale...

If we keep it to "sale only" items then this could go quite well, similar with promotion stuff like when Dell LCD's last year or whatever when they were silly silly cheap :D

I'll kick off with PC Case Gear - BenQ 22" LCD T2200HD - $229

http://dell.com.au/save 3 Day Sale

up to 20% off on Studio desktops and inspiron notebooks offer ends tomorrow.

Dell is doing a lot of sales at the moment, obviously not a lot of people buying computers. They did a different deal every day 2 weeks ago. All under the same url http://dell.com.au/save

So if you are looking for a monitor or some thing like that good idea to keep an eye on that page

Also the discount isn't done until you get to the checkout

Whatever really - id assume most people looking here would build themselves, so more individual parts deals.

I noticed that Gigabyte EP45-EXTREME Mobo's are almost $250, thats $100 off about a month ago's price so thats a VERY good deal if you are looking for a top of the line P45 board at a very good price.

Pretty sure most Melbournians/PC builders would know of MSY already...

2GB 4870x2 Gigabyte - $589 is a bloody good deal if your after a decent video card... or if your an nvidia fanboy there is 1GB GTX 285 Inno3D /Gainward /Gigabyte /ASUS 475/475/485/525

MSY also have Hitachi 1TB drives for $119 or WDs for $124

Theres also centercom which is not too bad either, prices for the most part are more then MSY but you can at least get in and out in less then a minute so it can be worth paying a slightly higher price... sometimes theyre cheaper on certain things

http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/default.php - ive found the site is generally out of date as ive gone in to buy something which i saw online only to find it cheaper when i got there, but i think they have started updating their price lists more often these days.

MSY are the cheapest in WA for anything on RRPs. unless another store does a clearance

Of course if there is a supplier in oz that is trusted let me know, as i am about to order one as soon as Nvidia brings theirs out. I have always been nvidia but this time i think ATI have taken the cake and i am hoping goes down a little bit more in price when the GT100 Nvidia series comes out ......

Hi guys

I work at a computer store myself and if you have anything you're chasing I can more than likely order it in for you. I can also try my best to get you a good deal on anything you need.

So if you're chasing something, shoot me a pm!

    • I highly recommend spending a lot of time searching the posts here. There is literally decades worth of information here, and whatever you can think of has been done (besides maybe quad-rotor AWD into a Skyilne chassis). Like, there was someone with an AWD Silvia and a crazy built SR20, and I've personally seen an R31 Skyline (Australian spec) with R32 GT-R running gear (including AWD).
    • Dragging some reo behind a ute or trailer will smooth out a dirt road, I've used reo a few times to do unsealed road maintenance when we didn't have any plant available  It's best done when the dirt is wet though, and then you just let it dry out for a day to harden up For wetting the dirt I've used some 44 gal drums in a ute or trailer, and a water pump connected to a hose with a old sprinkler tied to the reo to wet the material down whilst spreading Basically just drive slowly up and down the road a few times dragging a few sheets of reo wired together with the sprinkler wetting it all down as you go
