Need more info to be able to give you a better answer but...

I have seen stock RB25DET's push over 300kw at the wheels, but there are so many variables that you cant account for when extracting big power from an internally stock motor...

Your mate might get a solid run for a while with big power, or he might have to re-build it after it blows a hole in a piston... It depends on how healthy the engine is to start with.

Most of his reliability will come from a really good tune (assuming he is using high quality parts and lubricants aswell).

engine strength is not an issue. its tune quality and how close to the edge of detonation you want to run.

any engine, even a fully built engine with thousands spent will fail under prolonged detonation or preignition.

theres stock internalled engines pushing 300, 400, 500kw reliably

it all comes down to the tune and the quality of your supporting mods to ensure that the measured fuel is delivered and adequate cooling/lubrication is provided.

Yeh, to be on the safe side, I would suggest injectors, fuel reg and probly invest in a good fuel filtration system lol. Judging by the mods he wants a bit of power from it. There is plenty of places to get tunes here in Canberra. I believe ed from Autotech is a Haltech Rep, so probly see him. Or ESP I reckon would know their way around a Haltech and Trojan are Skyline specialists...

has a fuel reg and is getting a new fuel pump (something bigger and better then a gtr one) and some injectors. cheers stu and the tune is going to be done in nsw from someone i have never heard about lol mean while he then is going to take it to a place in sydney.
