Rb20 Map Running A Rb25 Motor

guys im thinking how safe is it to drive using an rb20 ecu to run an rb25 (the ecu has been tunned for a same level moded rb20 [exhaust etc] as the rb25)

--> ive already switched the 4 and 6 injector wires as per required.

have you got the same injectors and airflow meter on your rb25 as you had on the rb20?

injectors and a/f meter we're left both stock on both cars, so i'll have to find out if they are the same for both motors.

They share the same airflow meter but the rb25det runs 380cc injectors and the rb20det runs 260cc injectors.

I'm sure a similar question has come up before on www.skyline-owners-club.com and the general consensus is that it won't work without remapping the ecu to suit the 25 due to having different fuel, ignition, nvcs requirements.

you would atleast have to run the rb20det injectors. if any sensors are different between the two engines you may run into trouble there as well.

nvcs shouldn't be a problem, it just wont activate.

im running a r34 rb25de using a r32 rb25de ecu. nvcs (vct) is not active, but the car runs fine.

From what i can see your going to run into problems with the injectors, on my car i run about 220rwkw and that max's out my injectors, with the rb20 injectors being around 30% smaller that would mean that they would max out at around 150rwkw which is pretty much standard power for an rb25det, you mentioned mods, well you have no headroom for mods with those injectors.

dummer i just got the map and wanted to post it up here tonight but my rom burner just got crushed on my last move from house to house, does anyone in sydney have a rom burner that could read this chip and post it online?
