Yeah I must admit when I see someone toss a butt from their window and it almost exlodes into a ball of sparks and goes all over my car, id love to take that burning butt, shove it down their throat and make them eat it.

Too bad its very hard to actually be charged with throwing a butt out the window. I know so many people that just get away with it because they just act like they are disgusted and argue that they dont smoke. They really have no proof to charge you.

I smoke and in my car too but I only ash out the window. Once I am done with the smoke I hold it outside till it is almost out then butt it out in an empty Ciggy packet. End of the week the pack goes in the bin. Beats having to clean a stinky ash tray and smokers cars only stink if they smoke on wet days with the windows up (yuck) None of my mates smoke and my mum hates it but when I asked if the car stinks they all say it smells like a normal 10+ year old car. I don't smoke in the house though as that's fricken disgusting and really does stink!!!

Not taking sides as i dont litter at all but...

the street cleaner gets paid to clean the streets if people didnt litter then horhay would be out of a job..or the filters n shit in the strom drain will get them, but its still no excuse to litter.. and littering is littering no matter where it is.

I smoke, i ash outside the vehicle, i throw my buts in a container (those metal Extra mint containers work a treat). And to those who think they can smell a smokers car a mile away. Think again.Most smokers cars (ppl who take pride in their appearance & love their cars) would usually have a car thats cleaner than most and most would also always have an air freshener in the vehicle.

Working in the car industry i see 1000s of cars and can honestly say that some of the non smokers cars are worse off than a smokers car.

Just getting a bit sick of the do gooders picking on smokers all the time.

Or, you could do as many of my friends do & have the can/bottle 1/3-filled with water and ash and butt into that.

If it is a bottle, you can even put the lid on to stop the stench!

btw, a bottle with multiple butts floating in brownish water has to be one of the least appealing things to look at and will most certainly help you quit (or just gross out your passengers).

Just to make you feel better, you are no less a drug addict than those you mentioned above. In some eyes because your using your drug of choice during working hours ect it might be considered worse than say the "arvo" pisshead or pot head.

It's certainly a lot less environmentally sound (filters, packaging).

Paying a large multi-national for the privilege of dying a painful premature death while damaging the environment is not a rational thing to do.....It's the kind of thing addicts try to justify and do.

You're right, I smoked, my Mrs smoked a LOT and we've both given it away. I used to make the same excuses when I smoked and so does everyone else. It cracks me up how defensive smokers get about the habit. Hry I'm no saint, I have a smoke when I drink sometimes but at least I have the balls to admitt it's killing me and it's a filty habbit!

It is a bad habit, but we HAVE the right to choose to do it. Just like modfiying a vehicle is illegal yet ppl still do it and its the same like minded thinking ppl that complain about modded cars.

I enjoy smoking hence why i smoke. I dont force other ppl to nor do i force them to share my views on it. You sit there and bag out smokers yet you smoke also? Regardless of whether you do it only when you drink or do it full time. It would still make you a smoker.

It's nothing like modifiying a car, 1) it's not always illegal to modify 2) smoking isn't illegal 3) modifying a car isn't guaranteed to kill you or effect your health.

it isn't the same as littering on the streets, no where NEAR the same. Adz is right, a fully enclosed area with a dedicated cleaning team that works after every event is totally different to littering on the streets. Besides the CBD, how many of the street sweepers do you see getting around??.... exactly.
