FMIC Illegal ?

in vic... one intake modification is legal, two is not.. so if you just go the FMIC its ok, but soon as you go the pod its not.

i believe anything which effects the emissions of the car is deemed as unroadworthy?

where you might also be in trouble is how the i/c kit is installed. if you start drilling big holes into the chassis, you're effecting the structural rigidity of the car which is then deemed unroadworthy.

YES.

it is deemed UNROADWORTHY until you get an engineer's certificate. its quite simple people.

ba.. so that is why everybody has their cars registered in VIC with nice FMIC and no problems whatsoever.. EPA is same, the tester actually said to me "one intake mod is ok, and you've got the big FMIC so that is fine". They don't care about engineers for just an intercooler down here..

Its different rules for each state, and i haven't heard it ever enforced in VIC.
