r33 gtst vs wrx

MY03 rex (1390kg) and R33 gts-t (about 1390kg) are pretty much equivelent weights, so its an interesting comparison. The WRX are heavier than they actually look.

lol.. so people are saying a RWD is easier to launch than a 4WD ? now i've heard everything...

I have driven a modded rex and its definitely a funs-mobile, but it never really felt that solid. I still prefer my skyline or another skyline anyday.

Of course the Rexie will toast it in the handling stakes, but you would expect a constant 4wd, rally bred car to be able to do that. I'd say Rex requires less skill to drive. I remember i was just pointing and shooting like nobodies business, skipping sideways across the road... no thinking about the ass end at all.. but i don't think it would have held up much. If it can't stand a heavy launch id be up for a new gearbox pretty soon, thats the only way i WANT to drive .. not taking it easy coz i think i'm gonna snap the ****er

Course a GTS-T is going to pull away in a straight line at some point - its a friggin 2.5L and got a fair whack more torque under its belt. Its a high speed cruiser, whereas the rex has its power down low, and low geared, like you'd want for a rally, or lets face it for most purposes, road car
