Where To Put My Water Temp Sender On Rb26dett

hey guys just wondering where is the best place to put my water temp sender on a 26 i was thinking of tapping it into where the top radiator hose goes onto the engine (see picture below) would this work? does it matter how far the sender goes into the adapter, would it read different?

Just get a hose adapter that fits in by cutting the top radiator hose and fitting it in between the hoses.

ive got one of them but i cant really use it because theres no room the 26s in a s15 and the radaitor hose is real short so it needs to be be taped into somewhere

Yeah i'd just drill and tap into where you have marked. 8.2mm drill, 1/8bspt tap, job done. Looks and sound the easiest to me. Pretty sure the factory one is plumbed in there anyway?

ok thanks for that but if the sender thread goes into the top rad adapter will it read different? because with the hose adapter you can buy, the sender doesnt screw all the way in? not sure if theres a reason for that or not

The water will still touch it man.

Either way will work though.
