DaveO74
Hi Guys, I am in the process of getting a new turbo sent to me and have had my car up on blocks without any oil int for around two weeks now and I was wondering if there is a general rule of thumb regarding how long you should leave your engine without any oil. Is there something I should do before I add the new oil once I install the new turbo such as Oil prep or an addative of some kind? PM-R33
She'll be fine, when you first go to start the car, don't actually start it, just crank it over and turn off, crank it over and turn off etc. For a few times to build oil pressure up and then she'll be all good to actually start. Mine's been without oil/ a head for 3 months. inthisglass
it wont harm it at all be the same as letting your car sit around normally, all the oil eventually drains to the sump, it doesn't stay in the engine. just don't start it with no oil Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/258936-how-long-is-too-long-to-have-engine-empty-of-oil/#findComment-4454772 Share on other sites
