R34 Tiptronic Reversal

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has reversed their tiptronic shifter in their R34 - and what is involved? is it a DIY thing to do or will it have to be professionally done?

Current factory set up is to push forward to shift up, and push backwards to shift down.

I'd like to be able to shift up by pulling the lever backwards and shift down by pushing the lever forwards - alot like the true sequential systems.

take out your gear surround, to see how the shifter really works

put the gear stick in the tiptronic slot

move it up and down, you will notice that it hits/pushes 2 pin like buttons as you move the stick up/down

take these out (be careful as they are fragile and small)

swap em over, clip em back in the thing that holds em

done
