mustve been a while since you've been SkylineGTR ...... lotsa imports around now although there are a lot of standard, boring ones around.

But yeah import owners in WA get harrassed and picked on quite a bit .... and i know a lot of people who sometimes wonder if the shit is worth having an import.

I get away with quite a bit on WA roads tho ...... but im a chick so ive got away from a 6 point fine with just a warning before and a drink driving charge and a few other misdemeanors but if your a guy they come down pretty hard they only need to suspect something.

I was reading something the other day that got me thinking. I cant remember the percentage but it was low, like less then 5% of accidents can be attributed to an unroadworthy car, ie bald tyres etc. So whats with the whole defecting / road safety thing.

I was in Taiwan last year for work for 1 month and fark me, if u cant drive in Aus you would be 2 scared to even drive up to the local shops and back there. There is no rules, at intersections theres no giving way to the right, its everyone for themselves, and then there are streets in the main part of town which merge from a 5 lane roads to a 2 lane roads mid corner, then theres millions of little 100cc bikes which the locals drive and they just fly through and cut you off when ever they can. Traffic lights are just a novelty item, and people make left hand turns from the right lane of a 3 lane highway across all the traffic without a second thought!! The cops drive around in new Merc and BMW's there and dont really give a shit about speeding or road rules either.

i dont know what Sydneys like to compare it .... people are nice .... theres no escape from police anywhere.

Was a pasenger with a Dutch guy over in Indo late one night. I was too drunk to realise just how drunk he was. So off we set at about 3.00am (quiet but still an alarming amount of cars on the road) down the dark dusty roads, only for him to lose it into a ditch after sliding the thing wide on the "exit of the corner":(

After a persistant 30 secconds of honking the horn, some friendly but half asleep locals came and helped push us out of the ditch. So with some Rupia flying out the window as a sign of our appeciation we blasted off into the sunrise.

I was absolutely horrified that this guy who has lived there for over a decade didnt respect anything/anyone, i was embaressed to be seen with the guy.

That said behind the wheel he fitted in perfectly:D

... and now when i think back to that night a laugh my a55 off. After that incident i actually got enough back bone to start driving...its actually quite liberating coming up to a red light, and instead of sitting 6 cars deep in traffic, you just start a new lane alongside the front car making it 3 abreast:D

my sister took my 4wd down to coles in tweed heads (its only a shitty 91 surf) and some ****er has put a 20cm key mark along the rear door.

some people really need to learn to respect other peoples stuff.
