loss of performance with faulty 02 sensors

over-fuelling does rob you of some power i believe...

yeah it does rob you of fuel thats why u try to run leaner than stock but not to the point of detonation

Buy another one for around $100. They are the same as the O2 sens on the EL falcon.

Pull the old one out, put the new one back in. Apparently they should be changed every 50,000kms so chances are the stock one u have in ure 'line is worn out.

U dont loose power as when u are accelarating. The ECU does not read from the O2 sensors. Wide open trottle has no effect from the 02. They only trim fuel whilst cruising levels.

are you dead set sure that EL falcon ones are the same?

I think you have to cut the plug off the R32 one and put it on the el one

The O2 sensor is also used during a cold start, at least it is once the sensor heats upto 800degC and starts operating. So a slow reacting or broken O2 sensor could cause the car to stumble and feel slugish while the engine is warming up.

pawson, the O2 sensor is screwed into the dump pipe right after the tubo. Don't assume its the O2 sensor straight off, it could be anything from incorrect heat range spark plugs to the thermostat. What sort of problems are you having?

Sounds exactly like my car. Fuel economy is shocking - but the flames are fun. Getting 02 sensor replaced on Monday. Will let you know how it goes.

where would it be on a non turbo r33?

im having a prob with mine sorta stumbles a bit when im cruising with my foot lightly on the accelerator other than that it seems to run ok

but i dont know enuf to know wats causing this

the idle keep jumping when the weather is cold. Check the idel motor already but can't find the clue.
