hey all.. recently put my built rb25/30 and rb25t gearbox into my cefiro..

im stuck at the gearbox mounts,

im wondering if anyone on hear is running an rb25 box in their cefiro and what they have used in the way of engine mounts??

i heard that a s13 ca18 gearbox crossmember can be used and makes it fit perfectly??

but cant confirm..

and no one in sa would happen to have a turbo cefiro rear section of tail shaft for sale???

haha

Dunno about the Ceffie man, but it's what I did for the R32.

When you drop an RB20 manual box into an auto body, the crossmember holes are too far forward to use the rb25 manual crossmember.

The rb25 manual box will line up with the crossmember holes because the manual box is longer than the RB20 box and the same length as the RB20 auto box.

When fitting an RB20 manual box you need to use an S13 AUTO crossmember because they are a mirror image of the manual crossmember and will allow the holes to line up.

So in your case with the Ceffie, I cannot be sure as to which one you'll need. But if you run into the problem with one not lining up, the other should work.

Sorry man, I can't give you a definate answer, just another option in case you get stuck.

I thought it was when you dropped a 25 box into an AUTO 32, the Xmember bolts lined up perfectly but when dropping a 25 box into a MANUAL 32, you had to modify the Xmember as the holes in the chassis sit about 50mm too far forward.

I used some 25x5 flatbar welded to the 25 gearbox Xmember to suit the holes in the chassis.

Yo bro, that's what I said in the first sentence which refers to the use of an auto body. "When you drop an RB20 manual box into an auto body, the crossmember holes are too far forward to use the rb25 manual crossmember."

The second sentence, still with the auto body in mind - "The rb25 manual box will line up with the crossmember holes because the manual box is longer than the RB20 box and the same length as the RB20 auto box.

Just some wires crossed in communication.
