Rookies are in order down the bottom, but no times

Haha - if you can Benny watch our Sideling Vids side by side - it's an epic battle until the last 500m! :D And I know why - it's from watching that incar vid of the volvo when you see the lotus spear off there that I went super cautious for that one short section. You don't realise at the time how much of an impact these little back offs can have.

BTW - I've watched our Sideling, Rossarden and Sheffield vids all side by side and it seems your little toy may actually be faster than mine in a straight line. The one thing that definite is that you/your car is faster in the fast bits and me/my car is faster in the slow bits. Rossarden is a great example where at the start you get a massive lead on me before I pull it right back at the end.

Interesting to see really our different strengths and weaknesses. The starts are funny as I'm always leading into turn 1 (no suprise) but because I always start like a wuss until I get confidence in the tyres you are usually caught up or in front by turn 3. LOL

But good stuff - your footage shows you are on it from go through to the red signs - something I need to work on going forwards.

lolz..... Snowy, you gotta remember our exhaust was falling all the way off, it got worse through Rossarden, so we cruised down the hill. We had no idea where it had seperated and what was burning. Me jumping out at the end extinguisher in hand says other things were on our minds :D I wouldn't base too many assumptions on that stage my good man ;)

One piece of footage you should watch over and over again, is the bit where BW gets to Wrest Point. I am not sure how many times he has been down... 3-4 as nav and couple as a driver. Some people consider just finishing the acheivement. After not finishing a couple (crashes and mechanicals) when on the pace - I know how difficult it is...

The rookie winners have a perfect record in modern so far - neither have finished a main event. There were plenty talking it up this year and didnt get thru day 1.

Finishing any event is a challenge, winning is special.... Well done and, Snowy, next year I hope you dont keep the rookies record in tact, and make it through the other 2/3s of the event...

I bet you started thinking about that when you passed us all on your way to the boat Friday night...

Don't worry - Bradford was a big lesson for me. It's the main reason I'm keen to stay in Modern next year rather than aiming for something like Early Modern as in Modern I know I have no chance of winning anything so can just concentrate on finishing the event.

Getting a "Targa Trophy" is my only goal for 2010. :P

I know I'm probably getting painfull now, but here is Cethana (38klms) part 1 :)

Part 2 should be up shortly. Dunno if you can spot how badly the flat spotted front right was affecting us, particularly in part 2. Couldn't turn the thing under brakes :P
