Why am i doing this??

Well i would like to remember my europe trip for rest of my life and what better way to print a nice photo.

Hi,

I would like to print the photo below onto a large gloss sheet or canvas.

Can anyone recommend me any places? Hopefully they are located in Sydney. If not an online shop perhaps??

Should i print onto canvas or gloss sheet?? I know with canvas the print will be a little rough (well i mean you can see lines - if that makes sense?)

Also i wouldn't need to frame the canvas (save some money there).. But the gloss sheet would look better right?? esp when its all framed nicely!!

What do you all think?

Im leaning more towards number 1.. hmmm

I think if you want a picture to remind you of a holiday you are the best person to choose which photo that is

since they would all remind you of something different and some might be better than others for that

Personally I like the first one the best (but it does not necessary scream Europe - not for me anyway)

I've done a few canvas prints, and I wouldn't recommend you print any of them on canvas, anything that is dark or has a lot of shadow doesn't look good.

If you want to get a proper print + top quality frame, then look at uploading the picture to redbubble and buying getting them to do it. it's around $140 (I think, cant get to the site from work) for a huge frame and top notch print, if you are unhappy with the print for any reason then you can contact them and organise a reprint as well. I havent had to do that for the 3 i've got printed there though.

True does not scream Europe..I'm leaning towards number 1 as well. Perhaps i might just print it on a small scale (a4 perhaps) and see how it looks. Instead of wasting big money on larger prints.

Which photos of yours did you print out? Just curious..

number 3, if you have it in colour. the rest look like postcards. not something i'd hang on my wall.

WOOT i received pic number 1 today :verymad:

It was beautifully framed in a flat black frame with bright white border.

Looks stunning

The sky esp with a slight purple tinge really shines. Looks so beautiful!!

Will try and take a pic tonight and post it up!!

For those who are keen to purchase let me know.

Cost will be $180 plus postage (this is for the largest size - 610mm by 406mm).

Cost will be less for smaller sizes offcourse :O

I will chuck all the details in the for sale section :)

Frames are crafted from quality timbers in a range of finishes. A white, off-white or black matte surrounds the print to emphasize the artist’s work and bring the piece to life. Premium ultra-clear perspex in front provides a superior finish and means the piece is lighter and easier for you to move without breaking.

Check pic below for different options:
