Exhaust Temp Sensor

hey guys other day during a long drive my sensor is normaly cabled tied to the underbody of the car but for some reason fell out and was scarping the ground. after long attempts to get it back on i gave up and cut it off.

now exhaust temp light stays on and engine light check goes on when if feels like it. anyway to disable the exhaust temp light without taking the globe out? can u disconnect the sensor somehow?

Resetting the ecu, will reset the exhaust temp light, but wont get rid of it the light if how it's wired (or not wired) just triggers it again

look under your passenger seat for the plug, and unplug it.

you can also jam it under the shield for the cat I did for mine and its never fallen out yet! Even trackdays ets.

he has already cut the wire, therefore its earthing out and triggering the light.

So just unplugging it will stop the exhaust light and engine check light from coming on?

yep just unplug it, and its all sweet and if ur and idiot like me and cut it u can pull it from under the seat and get rid of it aswell.
