Roid
like the topic description says does WD-40 or AB-80 damage the panel/paintwork? i was lubricating the bolts on my 1989 r32 and i got a little bit of spray on the panel work. i quickly washed it off with a soaked sponge and dried it off quickly with a towel. now it doesnt say on the can of wd-40 or ab80 that it could damage paint work but i was just being cautious because before hand i was using a degreaser to clean the engine bay and i know that the degreaser could damage the paint on the bodywork. cheers Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/259761-wd-40-or-ab80-on-painwork/ Share on other sites
TURTYTO
WD 40 dosnt bother the paint it does cause problems when you want to re-paint the car you have to make sure you clean that crap of good befor or it will react with the paint and leave bloches(nothing to worry about for now) degreeser is fine aswell as long as not some industrial grade shit, i wash my 4x4 with it every time and it never bothered the paint, but it dose a good job cleaning. just dont spill brake cleaner on it and your all good Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/259761-wd-40-or-ab80-on-painwork/#findComment-4460022 Share on other sites

You can make it at home and put it in a spray bottle which is what I do. I think if you get the excess off quick enough with soapy water you should be cool. If I am wrong here, please guys, speak up.
