You would think someone with such a large company being on car magazines etc and being in the game for longer than others would try and hold some sort of rep with the skyline community which is or should i say was a large majority of your clientele. Guess not! trying to rip off some poor bloke for a few thousand bucks? :D

I know times are tuff! But common mate, you seemed like a fair bloke @ autosalon. But after reading this thread i wouldn't let you touch any of my mates cars with a 10 foot pool. You claim its a guinene s-tune, show us some proof? BTW were not all tossers!

I swear, I have never been more entertained then I have tonight, firstly this thread has to be the best ever, and the other was Luckiee getting banned in another thread....

GTR-PWR good on you for questioning him and doing your research before buying a GTR. What a rat, I can't believe this dickhead is still in business.

Alright, so everyone is saying its not an S Tune, thats fine - its just that he is so adamant that the engine is a S Tune since it has the 'S' on the block number. The engine cover looks standard so I think he is full of BS too, or just misinformed.

Whatever the case this is all good info and will help me bargain down the price. I will get the front of the car checked out for previous accidents and he says that he will install the stock steering wheel with airbag. Also it will come with the stock airbox which means it should be defect free.

It has heaps of nismo parts but they seem to be just bolt-ons.

When I get a definitive result from someone who has FASTED the VIN and Engine No I will print this out and show him as proof.(He is just misinformed I assume). This should help give me some bargaining power during negotiations.

p.s at least we know its a genuine V-SPEC and that its colour is a genuine midnight purple.

ok we have all settled down a bit now ! this guy hasnt GTR PWR hasnt even seen this car and was asking for the price to suit his needs well below a R32 gtr car price ,he said he had crashed his current car and was looking to find another car but just couldnt come up with the rest , he asked for this car at 8 grand short of the price offered , please understand while i now was avoided this guy as his is a time waster , id rather spend it with my wife than talking to some idoit that cannot afford a v -spec R33 gtr and had a budget of a R32 gtr its a v- spec r 33 ovoiusly most people can assure a R33 and being a v- spec in the not so common colour purple is a rare colour as you dont see much around and is the colour to find for a serious buyer , this car came from Japan with all the equipment fitted and options ,as the advert states it has a different engine than the one fitted when sold new so thats why NISSAN FAST cannot pick up that it had a engine change , i do run a work shop in melb west called OH performance and have worked on over hundreds of gtr s and seen many good examples of these cars in my life

Jim you are a blatantly lying and you didnt want to meet up becuase you knew I had exposed your attempt to rip off honest people.

Everything you say is worthless, and your businesses reputation now lays in ruins.

Needless to say all of the above is false and irritates me so much because all I wanted was to buy quickly and hassle free. After all this, you still refuse to apologise for how you treated me, and continue to make false accusations.

Honestly Jim, you have a lot to learn about business and how to treat people. You falsely advertised this vehicle and I have actually contacted the ACCC and reported you. I have kept all of your abusive and misleading messages sent from you as well. These will be passed on and supplied as evidence of your shady tactics to the ACCC.

Also this story and post has been reported to A Current Affair, hopefully the whole of Australia will see your shady business tactics.

Thanks mate, yeah I am just so grateful for this online community.

It has saved me on numerous occasions, and easily saved me thousands of dollars.

and too think all this could have been avoided if some proof of the claims had have been produced ie paper work reciets of the so called engine ect ect . i would reckon a fair bit of his clientelle would be thru internet forums ...........not now tho poor show i reckon

had this bloke just advertised it as a normal 1995 V-spec gtr.... and maybe even thrown a std. airbag steering wheel back in it...

not to mention not trying to spin bullshit, he would have probably sold it by now and retained what ever reputation he once had!

i just LOL every time i read this thread... obviously jim hasn't got a clue about business and customer relations...

hopefully not many noobs will get ripped off by this shonky business... and there would be quiet a few noobs that would fall for the "its a nismo engine broo ulehh"

    • It's unfortunate what Tomei USA has done to Tomei's name in general. I'm very weary of ordering parts from them now. I only order direct from a Japanse source (e.g Nengun). At least their logos are different, so you end up knowing what you have.
    • Update Issues 5 (plus #4) - 10 After making a claim about issue #4's missing part, DeAgostini Japan sent a whole new issue #4 and it arrived about 2 weeks after that. That was back in early March. It took another 4 weeks to receive issues 5 - 13 though. This update is for issues 5 - 10. Ove the 5 issues the front left suspension and most of the engine have been completed. The quality of the castings and fit of the parts is quite good, it seems better than DeAgostini's BNR34 Skyline GT-R from the Fast & Furious 2 movie, which (to me anyway) doesn't seem to have as tight tolerances or quite as accurate castings.  Each issue has a lot of info about the 1989 - 1993 Skyline range and other Nissan models from that era, but the focus is on the BNR32 Skyline GT-R Nismo and the various racing it did in Japan, Europe (Spa 24hrs) and of course Australia. I've included some text translated with Google Lens in some photos and will add to them if there's anything worth including.
    • If it's for a SR20, make sure it's not the American Poncams, might as well call them Poocams. Had a set in a friend's car, all scuffed up after a few track days. Like the metallurgy Tomei USA used is junk. Went back to JDM OG Tomei Poncams, no issues till now.   Tomei USA is not the real OG Tomei.   Random rant over, fk the US of A, bunch of c u n t s.
    • Most of the industry in North America either runs on Siemens or Allen Bradley. I have two redundant S7-1500's on my desk right next to me for simulation. Siemens has been losing ground though since Stuxnet, as cybersecurity is a big thing. In my line of work that is federally regulated, you must by law have a cybersecurity management program in place and its audited and inspected every so often.  I work with Emerson PLC's daily (RX3i's) and have done large biogas/refinery projects with their DCS's. Their PLC's are somewhat OK minus the way they do PLC redundancy (You have to download on both PLC's separately every time you make a change )  As for their DCS's... you'll be limited financially first before anything else stops you. Costs are exorbiant at roughly 10x what it would cost you to do with any other system (e.g AB PAC).  1990's, those suckers are brand new haha! Kraft-Heinz (An old client when I use to work for an ESP) still runs Siemens TI505 PLC's from the mid 80's. Ohh how I don't miss working with those... you could only do a certain number of online downloads until it's "Change" buffer would be full and you would then need to go offline to do a full download. There was no warning of when this was coming up and it generally would happen when you would go in at 2am to make changes before production -_-.
