Hey all

Just a FYI in regards with entry forms and club displays.

It is preferred by organisers of shows that all club entries are sent together rather than one by one. This obviously makes it a lot easier on them and they then know how many are in the display itself (unless there is a late entry or two which i can always call them up and let them know of the details of the people entering late).

If you send in your entry by itself, most organisers will see that as a individual entry, not a club entry (unless i have spoken/emailed them in regards with any late entries or change of enteries etc). I can only do my set up plan with the people i know that are entering via who has given me there entry forms/entry money, and its a massive pain in the butt when you get people that choose to enter on the day, and not actually give me any warning that they are choosing to enter or not (in the sense of i can do up a back up plan with their car on it).

This is not having a go at anyone, just more of a FYI that if you are gonna enter, please let me know, (which nearly everyone does anyway), or if you have entered, and then change your mind (say you entered as a individual and then decide you would like to be part of the club display) please let me know no later than the week before the show itself. this gives me time to sort out my plan or make the necessary changes and get in contact with the show organisers aswell.

Car Shows can be stressful enough, especially when i have my own car + need to sort out everyone else's too!!!!!!! So all i ask is that you can co operate and let me know if you have sent in your form individually and change your mind as you want to be part of the club display cause if you ask me on the day without any prior warning, the chances of it happening will probably be minimal as i wont have the time to drop everything to sort it out :)

It will just make my life alot easier and ill appreciate it heaps :3some:

Thanks guys

:iluvff:

Hey Cara

Lynette Williams's (organizer of the show) husband used to work for my father-in-law when he was a boss at the Wallaroo council.

I had a chat to her and told her I'd only bring the bike up if the weather was good so she's made an exception for a last minute entry.

Let me know if this stuffs you around.

Cheers

Hey Pete

thats ok cause you might be put in a different area to what the club is being put in. i know last year they had it marked with "Holdens" "Fords" "Other Make/Model" etc so id say that the bikes would have their own area :)

+1

Group entries are just that: applications entered as a group for a club display.

On that note, Lex, if you're reading this, I made Cara aware that you've put your form in to enter the show. However, I am not aware if you informing me of this was a simple courtesy to let Cara know you're in the show individually, or if you intended to be in the club display also. I took it simply as courtesy to let Cara know you'd be in attendance. If you are intending to be part of the club display, can you let Cara (or myself) know so the proper preparations can be made sooner rather than later. :)

This of course applies to everyone else, as per Cara's post above. If you want to be in the club display and your form did not go to Cara for the group entry, please advise Cara asap.

:iluvff:

i was intended to be in the club display also if thats still ok

Thanks for letting us know.

:ninja:

Cara, hope 2 stags now help with the club display ... plus don't forget I now have some serious doof-doof

    • There's a good German place in Brisbane if youre up for the drive 😛
    • The German place in Cabramatta was rock solid, fresh pretzel cooked to order back then. Then it went all quiet, after all the poker machines were removed, then I believe it closed for good. I did drive past the other week and noticed outdoor lighting a big screen, but no idea what is there now.
    • Yeah I suspect even if you hold airmass per cycle/cylinder constant if you get too far away from stock you're still going to have problems running the factory tune within the bounds of the factory load scale. Cams, different displacement/rod ratio, etc. I'm just lucky that the GTIII-SS with wastegate boost + CA compliance cats is pretty much equivalent to stock turbos. When I have actual space I can finally get it tuned and modify the fuel system for flex fuel to 100% handle any detonation concerns when cranking the boost to whatever those dinky turbos can put out.
    • I would say no, why, because my daughter, who also lives in Goulburn, hasn't recommended us going there Pity, as we miss all the German joints around in Sydney, actually, the restaurants are the only thing I really miss about Sydney, and a special mention to Ishibanboshi at Bondi Junction, their Kara-age Don is heart cloggingly deliciousness (always added a special boiled egg...or 2) 😋
    • Does that German restaurant still exist in the old place out the NW end of Goulburn? When I say "out the NW end of"...I am really being vague. It was 1997 when I was last there, and the only point of reference I can recall is that it was on the opposite side of the main drag from the big merino. And when I say "opposite side of the main drag", I don't mean "on the main drag". It was either a couple of streets back from there, or might have even been out in the sticks a bit further. Was an old farm building or mill or somesuch. And when I say "the big merino" I might actually be thinking of a completely different part of town, because I just looked on maps and the big bugger is not where I remembered him to be! The food was good, consisting largely of various German mystery-meat sausage/loaf things and kartofflen.
